Huskins signed with Detroit today.
Really, I am surprised with some of those names (considering some of the guys who DID get picked up), Campoli especially.
It's too bad for him. I thought he was all but locked for a contract somewhere. Really banked on him in New Jersey again this year but after Matteau was given #15 I knew it wasn't a good sign for Sykora.
I still think that he can be useful for some teams when used properly. I'm interested if anybody will sign him later. Season is not long, there might be some injuries...I will have my fingers crossed for him for sure.
Jancevski got to the NHL for just nine games. He debuted for two games with Dallas in 2005-06, played two games with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2007-08, two more games with the Stars in 2007-08 and another three games with Dallas in 2008-09.
The Windsor native played more than 900 games in the American Hockey League with stops in Utah, Iowa, Hamilton, Norfolk, Texas and Adirondack. That included a Calder Cup championship with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2006-07.
How come some team does not sign Darryl Boyce as a 4th line depth guy ? He is a good skater , checker , penalty killer and probably cheap . What is the scoop ? I thought he was a skate through the end of the rink type of player in Toronto .

He was a good character guy in Toronto. Kinda pretty disappointed he's not getting a chance somewhere
EDIT: Also, has anyteam been in contact with Jason Blake at all? I know he's probably done at this level, just curious to hear if he even tried.

Boyce was signed today by JYP Jyvaskyla (Finnish Elite League).

Blake was very popular in the Ducks' locker room. He was one of our leaders and definitely not a problem.
I fully expect the Flames to sign a goalie today. With Kiprusoff's injury last night (even if he is traveling with the team and likely only day-to-day), they only have Leland Irving after dealing Henrik Karlsson. They could make an emergency recall of Laurent Brossoit from the WHL, but I have a feeling they will sign either Danny Taylor or Barry Brust to an NHL deal.
