The Sabres organization is 10x worse than any Buffalo writer. IMO the Buffalo writers should slam the Sabres even more. The Sabres have been pretty much a joke IMO. The fact that Regier and Ruff are safe, with their resumes, is just crazy.

The Sabres cry about the Buffalo media every year. The owner even says negative articles make them play bad. Come on now. The Sabres deserve nothing. Put this team in Philly and then see what happens. Players and coaches in tears everyday. Can you imagine this soft bunch or mental cases in a city like Philly? lol. The Sabres organization is soft from top to bottom. Maybe John Scott should be hired by management.

The local media is largely petty and incompetent. The sabres treat the media with disrespect because they don't deserve better.

Exactly. No one is saying that the franchise shouldn't be criticized. How about an insightful and challenging question in the post-game? How about moving on from Drury and Briere? How about focusing on a meaningful topic that could get the fanbase behind you instead of whining that Pegula talked to the a a different paper first, or because practice started late?

I know that the organization has spoken against the media and they get about as much sympathy from me as the players do when they complain about the fans booing. Don't like it? Start winning, or stop selling me season tickets so close to the players bench.

Yeah. Gleason likes to have his finger on the pulse of the fan, when he should be reading about continuity and discontinuity. He is a total *******.

He should be fired just for bringing the bills melodrama into the sabres universe.

Well, Harrington wasn't mad about practice starting late today, he's mad because this was a scheduled day off for the team apparently.
Barring compelling circumstances, the team schedule isn't allow to be changed.

He's probably trying to get the team in trouble with the PA.

Even better. The team is playing like crap and he's like to get them in trouble for practicing. Sounds reasonable.

People's expectations of this team were way out of line. Adam Pardy and Alex Sulzer are 7th defenseman. Mike Weber was our 7th defenseman last season. Robyn Regehr based on his career trajectory is rapidly becoming a 7th defenseman. TJ Brennan looks to be a 7th defenseman. I thought it was great that we went into the season with 9 NHL caliber guys on the back end, unfortunately we only have about 4 guys that most teams would want in their top 6 and some of them haven't played very well.

That wasn't confirmed by anyone and that certainly wasn't the case once they matched Weber's deal. They can't afford to have 3 players making that much money especially having a pile of players making 3-4 million. Their ownership just can't do it.

I'm confused. I thought Vanek was leading the league in points. What would they get in return from Nashville for Vanek after losing one of their top guys to Minnesota? Also who would be able to take his spot and get the same production?

Well if we trade vanek the season is over which I'm okay with. It would be a huge futures package like ellis+wilson+ 2 1sts or something like that

I agree, clearly Vanek is a great player but this team as a whole isn't going anywhere. His value is probably at an all-time high right now, if Darcy is willing to trade him he could get a ridiculous return. Nashville absolutely has the cap room to fit him in if they're willing to spend it.

Devils just traded for Andrei Loktionov, they gave a 5th round pick to LA

I would have been all over that for a 5th..

Two thirds of those players would fit in perfectly here.

Samuelsson is slow as **** and Murphy is always injured.

Posted it on main board and although we likely could get more value wise, they aren't prepared to take on 10M in salary between vanek and leo

It's pretty difficult to think about this team in terms of roster moves. Adding players by selling youth makes no sense. Selling our best players is going to meet resistance because they should be part of the solution. Trading our middling players isn't going to return us any type of value. That said, something needs to change, and in any normal city, it would be the coach, but not here. I'm really at a loss thinking about this team.
