Players in the Doghouse/Healthy Scratches Ongoing Thread (Goligoski)

With news today from Dallas' head coach Glen Gulutzan that defenceman Alex Goligoski will be a healthy scratch tonight, I thought maybe it would be convenient to have an ongoing healthy scratch/players in their coaches' respective doghouses thread.

DALLAS: Alex Goligoski will be a healthy scratch tonight.
EDMONTON: Ryan Whitney was a healthy scratch last game for Edmonton. There's a chance he would have been out tonight, as well, but Mark Fistric is injured.
LOS ANGELES: Dustin Penner was a healthy scratch for the better part of the week.
MINNESOTA: Devin Setoguchi was recently demoted to the fourth line in Minnesota.

Any others?

Kyle Wellwood once again, he is one of my favourite players since his Windsor Spitfire days and would love to see him put it back togeather and get going...

What's up with Goligoski? I thought he was a good fit in Dallas and had been playing quite well since getting there.

Jaden Schwartz has been a healthy scratch, mostly just because we have too many wingers and not enough spots. Him, D'Agostini, Reaves and Langenbrunner have been rotating in and out of the lineup

Would Goligoski be a fit with the NYR?

What would it take to get him from Dallas?

Blum was in the doghouse. Now due to no scoring and injuries he's been put in. He looks great. 2 assists last night

Todd Richards made a comment a while back about how we (Columbus) will see guys be a healthy scratch because he has an interest to keep them rested and prevent injuries in this condensed season.

So I don't think being a healthy scratch for a night automatically equals being in the dog house. It could just be a guy getting some time off.

Demers was a healthy scratch for SJ. More of a numbers game than due to play.

Goligoski played well immediately after the trade during the 2010-11 season. It's been all downhill from there.

Now he looks almost as lost as Niskanen did before he got sent out in that same trade.

Henrik Tallinder was a healthy scratch for NJ yesterday and is expected to be again in NJ's next game.

Yea, hoping some Stars fans chime in here. Looked his stats up, they didn't seem abysmal. What gives?

Technically, White is for his dumb penalties. Eller is just outside the doghouse running carefully on a leash.

Tomas Kaberle and Yannick Weber are healthy scratches, too. Though, it's because they suck more than the numbers game.

No longer present tense. He was after the Leaf game on opening night. He since rebounded with a three-point game and remains in the lineup despite everyone being healthy. No doghouse there.

IMO that was only to make room for Scheifele. With Scheifele sent down, I expect Wellwood to be a regular on our 3rd line.

I would offer Niskanen and a 2nd if you want him back.

Sure, if you take on his entire contract.

Mike Komisarek has been a scratch for the past two games despite is improved play and the games being back-to-back and the defense that played being tired and shiiiite in the first game of the back-to-back

Galiardi has been a healthy scratch for San Jose's last two games. Hasn't looked good so far this season.

Well this is news to me. Good news, actually. Dude's been playing like horse ****.

Sold on the Niskanen and a 2nd for Goligoski.

Hell I don't even want the 2nd.

and Niskanen is one of our most steady blueliners when he isn't injured. Go figure.

So, two former Penguins on the list ... and two names that fans of certain teams want us to take off their hands for a much better return (Seto and Whitney). Again, go figure

Im still not sure why LA resigned him. They knew exactly what they were getting. Did they expect him to change over the summer?

At this point it has to be a coaching problem. Not like anyone on their D is gettign rave reviews. They`ll just break Niskanen all over again and as ironic the cycle of Pens fans then offering them even more D for their best players would be, they should just get a new assistant coach who knows his **** for this, it hurts my heart to watch Goligoski like this.

The SAME Yannick Weber that was offered all summer on these threads as trade bait that every other team in the NHL should be damn glad to trade for?? /sarc.
