True but usually when you are going into the corners you usually stop and trap the puck up against the boards. When most players I know of are hunched over in the corner are either when they lose their balance or there is nobody near them and they are skating the puck in behind the goal.
Many players pull up and the other guy traps them against the boards. For example, that's quite common when racing to touch up an icing.
That's because on an icing call you don't have to worry about coming out with the puck, you just have to touch it. The league has said for a while now that the onus is on the checking player to let up when he can see the guy's numbers. You can't ask Scuderi to not make a play that the league says he has every right to make.
