You backed up my point anyways. He partied the **** of of California because he won the Cup. He probably partied harder than the NBA or NFL players. Him and Carter went hard. So it's no surprise as to why he sucks this year.
I'd rather win and party than lose.

But to each their own.

Ahh, an Oiler fan. You do realize that for as much as Richards "sucks" this year he still has as many points (in fewer games) than the Oilers #1 center right? Should I make a libelous statement about what RNH was doing during the off-season? Geeze, RNH had 52 points in 62 games last year, why does he "suck" so much now?

An angel's smile is what you sell
You promise me heaven, then put me through hell
Chains of love got a hold on me
When passion's a prison, you can't break free

You're a loaded gun
There's nowhere to run
No one can save me
The damage is done

[Chorus:]
Shot through the heart
And you're to blame
You give Oiler Fan's a bad name
I play my part and you play your game
You give Oiler Fan's a bad name
You give Oiler Fan's a bad name

So where is RNH >?

How exactly did Your Boys win the lottery?

That 16-2 run or whatever the Oilers had back in 1988 bore you too?

Anyway richies best offensive seasons are behind him. His body has been abused pretty bad throughout the last couple years. Hes one of my all time favorite flyers love the guy but the days of him putting up 79-81 points again are more than likely gone. Hes still a beast and id take him back anyday.

About time we start hearing the word "party".........

Typical Richards game tonight. Loved it. You can keep your 3rd and 4th round picks...

and so you know everything about his travel itinerary how...?

Anyway, the timing thing clearly went over your head--even if all you can do is read box scores, you'd know that you posted your drivel on the night he got a gordie howe hattie. Wrong night to go "herp slow starting party animal."

Doesn't matter, actually. Some people prefer to make what they think is the funniest joke, no matter how libelous, than getting the facts straight.

The same people usually are more excited to pick 1st overall up from 2nd overall, instead of watching playoff hockey, apparently.

He is a 50-60 pt gritty 2-way center with good leadership. Anyone expecting more will be sorely disappointed.

That's exactly what the Kings needed and were expecting. He fills a role on the team that the organization couldn't seem to find an answer to from within.

So is this why the Oiler's tank year after year to keep fans happy because they prefer their team to draft in the lottery vs hoisting the Stanley Cup. I doubt most fans would agree with you.

I am guessing if Oilers won 4 games in the Cup Finals by scores of 1-0 most fans,(sans OP) would be pretty darn happy about it

With regards to Richards, seems people are taking a sample of 8 games to determine the current direction of a guys career.

Guess its human nature to presume current events, is a precursor to future results.
Revisit the board last week at this time and you will see some interesting comment

Patick Marleau is on a pace to average a goal a game, ( he hasn't put anything in the net over his last 4.)

Sharks are going to run away with the West , ( they lost 3 in a row and the Ducks are 2 points back with a game in hand.)

St Louis Blues, are absolutely dominating and could run away with the central, ( they just got beat badly by Nashville and are only 3 points ahead of 9th place Minnesota.)

Preds are sucking, losing Suter really hurts them, (they have won 3 in a row and currently sit 6th in the West.)

etc, etc etc..
