What about Chris Stewart from st Louis? Anyone seen him play much? He's 6'2" 228 and according to EA he's got some skills to?

Isn't much of a heavy weight, will fight from time to time and has been on the downhill skill wise.

Like I said, having a protector is part of the mix of having a good team, not 10, 1. We have more then enough players to play P.K (Plekanec, Bourque, Moen, Prust, White, Eller, Desharnais, etc.) and I see no problem with double-shifting when the gane goes, most teams rool with 3 lines in the 3rd period anyways.

Lastly, I don't know about you, but I watch because I Love hockey, on TV and playing the game. Adding the entertainement aspect is not flawed at all, we pay for tickets and RDS pays for television rights, that's how life works right? But that was just 1 point in the whole debate.
that's a myth.

I played top tier hockey from the time I was 5 right up to junior where I played junior B for a few years and let me tell you when the other team has a heavyweight on there bench you notice and act accordingly cause he WILL be on the ice with you at some point, this ain't football there's no running out of bounds. These guys have a place in this game and we need one lol

There are no absolutes in hockey. You can find exceptions to everything. But for the majority of the time with a majority of NHL teams, if you take liberties with a star player, you will have to answer for it.

Again, no absolutes.

Thanks for adding insight to this thread. I think the guys who don't want us to have a Bona fide heavyweight are not worried about getting pounded themselves and apparently don't care about our skilled players getting pounded.

Who really enjoyed watching Spacek and Pyatt and Max getting hurt.

I disagree. Look at what causes a lot of fights in the NHL. A big hit (legal or not) on a "star" player. Hell, Prust fought because Cube got hit from behind.

Lucic just said in an interview with McGuire that the Bruins are going after Markov.

Here we go.

Show us some data that it's not true. You can't. Some things are hard to quantify, but that hardly means they don't exist.
