The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced today the signing of import quarterback Jacory Harris and non-import running back Kyle Exume (pronounced Ex-Zoom-Ay). As per club policy, the terms of the contracts are not released

If ET were still here, I'm pretty certain Dales would be traded. His plan was to use Dales to recoup a draft choice he game up to the Als.[/QUOTE]

You mean another 6th rounder?

I believe I did, and thanks for noticing. Remind me again, what did Tillman do to address the problem?

One of the areas Hervey has stated they need to shore up is getting a return man. No ****. Has Larry Taylor signed with the Stamps yet? He'd look mighty good in Green and Gold.

Nope, a third- or fourth-rounder.

A 3rd rounder for a punter? Alrighty then...So, since ET isn't here, you now think they are going to hang on to him? And for that matter, what was ET's grand plan for McKnight?

@sunterryjones: To those who think the Als got a steal in Messam: Not the same player after surgery and NFL tryout. High maintenance. Too much money. Period

Reilly is a really bright, well spoken guy.

And I can remember when Lion fans were steamed when Messam was traded for a fifth rounder in this years draft.

Reilly had some excellent games for the Lions and led them, in the absent of Lulay, to the 1st place. He is a big upgrade for the Eskimos. Had huge stats in college.

Completely subjective. Messam wasn't given enough of a chance here last season to determine such a thing. I could see how his confidence was shot from the NFL cut and coming back only to receive a demotion, but i don't believe it's going to effect his career moving forward. He's a good RB. I expect him to rebound in Montreal.

Naylor in on the air right now justifying his stupid claim that Reilly was guaranteed the starting job. Not doing a good job of it.

Naylor is an idiot. Every time he comes on and says something, go with the opposite.

Chris Thompson is key for a secondary who'll likely have a couple of new members. His tackling can improve but he's a ball hawk. #Eskimos

Great to see Thompson re-sign.

During Grey Cup weekend I got into an argument with him on Twitter about the Esks quarterback situation. For a guy who follows the CFL (an eight team league - something that I reminded him about constantly) he sure uses the term "re-build" liberally. There's no such thing as a re-build in this league.

Did not realize that Reilly is already 28. Had him pegged as younger somehow. Prime of life and hopefully late bloomer.

Swerve needs to resign Weldon Brown now, and the new recuits he's eying.

I see it as a good thing that Reilly doesn't have too many miles on him- considering that he's been a backup for his entire pro career.

Rumour has it that Weldon is not re-signing here. That is a huge blow. Our best dback the last 3 years by a long shot. Wish it was him signing instead of Thompson.

Most guys start their professional football careers when college is finished, around 23 or so. And by the time they get to the CFL, it may be their mid twenties. Reilly spent 3 years watching and honing his craft behind one of the best, Lulay. Wally Buono said if the Lions had not been able to sign Lulay, Reilly would have been their guy. That's about as high a praise as you can get, considering the source.
