I was almost certain we had another meltdown on our hands when it looked like Washington was getting an almost 2-minute-long 5-on-3. If they hadn't decided the puck got deflected before it went over the glass....oh boy.
I don't know why anybody would criticize Scrivens after that game. The caps had TONS of premium scoring opportunities and only beat him twice. I lost count of how many times a Washington player got the puck all alone in the slot or by the side of the net. Sure he looked like he was sliding around too much at times, but the result is what it is. He's our backup, he played the second half of a back-to-back, and he got the W with a pretty poor effort from the team in front of him.
