Yes, not like they didn't just lose their best player and captain or anything like that.. That certainly wouldn't make any sense.

Loktionov the new Purcell/Moulson.

He'll score 70+ pts in 2 yrs with Kovalchuk.

To do that he's going to need to put on a lot of weight. I have nothing against him, but he is pretty easily pushed off the puck.

Good luck Loki. Here's hoping you are not the next Purcell, Moulson, Boyle......

Yet no other GM would. Seems to me that means that the Kings got market rate.

I guess it is better than what we got for Hickey.

Where are they now? That's right, not in the NHL because there games don't translate very well and NHL scouts know it after seeing them vs pros.

This is about what I expected for Loktionov after he asked to be traded. At least we got back what we paid to get him.

I don't see what he does for us to warrant trading for him.

Hey...don't bash the future 5th round pick!

Jamie Benn was a 5th rounder was he not?

Wait, wasn't the whole point of him asking for the trade was so he would play in the NHL?

Smallish center. Good vision and hands. More of a playmaker than scorer. Can be shifty but easily knocked off the puck. A little fragile so far in his career. Good potential, could really be a steal if played in the right circumstances.

28 GMs are cursing themselves for not calling up and offering a 4th.

He only has two options basically on NJ, 4th line wing/center or 1st line wing with Kovalchuk/Zajac. Going off that the Devils already tried Matteau/Tedenby up with those two I could see Loktionov getting a chance for 1 or 2 games with them.

I hope he isn't a Tedenby-esque player.

I think Lou had a coupon or something. 5th round pick seems like a bargain

Great vision and playmaking skills but undersized and not overly fast.

We have to make roster space. I wouldnt be surprised if Matteau goes back to junior.

Not really...he hardly fits every teams need + he's being assigned to the AHL.

Or 28 other GMs are wondering why the Devils gave a 5th when they were offering a 6th.

Moller I buy that argument for, but Holloway? Not a chance. He's over in Sweden because he wouldn't get a shot with the Kings and he'll come back when they don't have his rights(if he doesn't go to the KHL)

Also, forgot about Moulson and Purcell. Damn, that's pretty impressive.
