I considered them but I am thinking they want someone more proven than Bernier in net, considering that they already have two inexperienced netminders currently on the roster.
The thing is, no experienced guy is available. Or Washington probably would have made that move.
The two guys they have now, have been complete clown shows.
Loktionov should have fetched more. He is a 5th rounder, but we spent more than 4 years developing him.
Bernier, is a former 1st rounder and we have spent over 6 years developing him. The return is at least 1 rounder back.
How is your logic different for Loktionov than Bernier? If Bernier should at least fetch a 1st, then shouldn't Loktionov at least fetch a 5th?
I agree that he is worth more as a player, but according to Lombardi, he is a flight risk prospect who could only warrant a 5th, because his contract is up at the end of the year and maybe headed for the KHL.

Not likeing the Lokti deal at all but could it be making room for a bigger deal As in getting more then one person back .With all the wavier moves earlier im not sure how many contracts we have.

Then Lombardi doesn't want to trade him. He's an undersized goalie prospect that hasn't been great when called upon. I think Florida has a better option in Markstrom but maybe they want someone to push him.
