I want no part of Cole's act on the kids line. His face screams negativity this year.

The coach did not find a way to do his job. In case, you aren't aware, it's to motivate and direct his players.

Yes, players were not perfect and made errors, but I saw little from the bench to adapt.

If Eller ever gets traded ahead of DD I'll lose my mind...
i agree. Eller's size and speed was a positive factor tonight. look we can't get greedy, we were 15th last year and we stayed in there with the best in the east. we played for 58 mins tonight. need to bounce back tomorrow

I know your not blaming Price but he had absolutely no chance so why even bring that up?

We need to get bigger. I think its better if we lose and end up last so we pick up Seth Jones. Build around Galchenyuk-Jones-Subban-Price-Pacorietty

I also would like to complain about Gorges, he doesn't handle the puck too well.

We really need to trade for Nick Backstrom of Washington.
1) You're complaining about our soft, weak centres and want to trade for one of the softest centres in the league?

2) Good luck with that.

DD was always involved in the play tonight, though. He got in the traffic and had tons of chances. He didn't do that at the beginning of the season.

Eller and Bourque with both great, but Eller created stuff with poor linemates and not much quality ice-time. Plekanec was having a great game but his poor backchecking on the Bruins' goals hurt.

Bourque? He missed a chance on the side of the net, had 2-3 good shots..And one of his linemate missed the puck...

I only said that so others would try to convince me. Now I can put that in my back pocket for a rainy day of lineup debate.

Honestly, I'd prefer putting Eller with the kids. They had a few shifts near the end and looked dangerous. Cole should be forgotten. With how he has been playing, I would honestly regulate him to the fourth line for a game. Something to wake him up.

Yeah, but they don't really need Cole.. and maybe the sparkplug known as Gallagher can motivate Cole.

We can't be cup contenders when we have DD and Pleky as our top centers ...playing against bigger teams like the Bruins just exposes us too much.

Pleky and DD can't win faceoffs and they play small against big teams.

We are better but in a 7 game series.....

Neither Desharnais or Plekanec was nearly our biggest problem tonight. Noted non-smurfs Pacioretty and Cole were far worse.

Now on to a pissed off Buffalo team who will play a lethargic Habs team.

How's that?
As much as I prefer having Eller there instead of DD (and it's nothing against DD, can only admire the guy and his talent), I think Cole deserves to sit a game or two so he understands. One poster mentioned DD was the only one on his line going to the net and it's so true. And it shouldn't be that way in most cases since he's the playmaker.

Erik Cole needs to ****ing wake up.

Weber on the DD/Patch line? Leblanc?

I don't want Moen or Armstrong there.

Prust wouldn't work well with those minutes.

Next game I'd try :

Pacioretty - DD - Galchenyuk
Bourque - Plekanec - Cole
Gallagher - Eller - Gionta
Prust - White - Moen

Scratched : Armstrong

Definetly, we need to get a second big talented center. I was hoping we would get him this year at the draft. Maybe he we can start losing like we were expected to this year, we could draft that center.

To me Pacioretty looked all right. Cole was killing every second play they created though.

Gionta was probably the most useless player on the ice, and has been for quite a couple of games now.

Therrien played his top-6 way too much in comparison to his bottom-6 also tonight.

Much more worried about tomorrow than today. We're usually horrid at Buffalo, they're itching to get off the slump and it's only our third game on the road plus it comes a night after a home affair. If we can get 2 points there, I don't even care how it comes

I'd really be happy with adding a player such as Lazar to this lineup

Agreed, was one of this best games this year. A couple lucky bounces and he scores two goals.

His faceoffs need serious improvement though.

Time for MT to send a bit of a message to some of the vets. Gionta, Cole and Armstrong have been pretty damn bad. The latter two especially.
