they had absolutly no problem generating offense except for a stretch in the 3rd period, but they should of been up 10-2 at that point anyways, how many tap in goals did they miss the net on? Another player shot the puck in the corner on a break a way, a good team finishes
your ****ing kidding right? After the 1st they were pathetic I think you were missing a in your post. if not then please stop
I like this...I'd keep Bourque and Plekanec together, they are driving play most of the time they are out there. Playing our two smallest wingers together might lead to jokes but I feel like Gallagher is a good compliment for Eller, and if that line can handle a two way role the DD line can go back to the exploitative scoring it thrives in.
Replace Plekanec with Eller on that line. Trade Plekanec or play him on the 4rth line.
Patches - DD - Eller (let Eller take the draws)
Bourque - Pleks - Gio
Cole - Gally - Gally
Prust - White - Moen
It's minimal changes, but big enough changes that it should spark something. And I think the energy the kids give off might be something that could get Cole's head back into the game. Patches and DD aren't slow, but Cole will actually have to use his top-end speed to keep up with the kids.
Not angry/pissed about the loss, just saw it as a great learning experience for the team. The guys are playing well, it could have been 3-0 after the first period if not for Rask, Tim who? Things just did'nt click and there will be games like that. boston hung around long enough and got it done in the end, good team, cup winner and they took advantage of their chances. Move on.

I'd probably swap Gally and Cole. I know Brendan is a natural RW, but I think he'll adapt better to LW than Cole will. IMO, there's no reason to give Cole any more excuses to suck.
The top line is interesting. I wouldn't necessarily let Eller take all the draws, I'm not convinced he's superior to DD on the dot...yet. Since they're on the same line, though, it makes it a lot easier to try swapping them as an experiment. I'd really like to see that happen.

The only thing all that bad about the 2nd is that Galchenyuk`s line got caught in its end a couple times.
Top six had a solid game overall generating chances. Can`t win without converting on them but as a measuring stick game against a top squad in the East Habs look pretty good.
I wouldn`t get too concerned about a little snakebite.
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
DD-Eller-Cole
Patches-Gally-Gally
Moen-White-Prust
We need that, our first line is okay, today is the exception.
What we need to do is create energyy lines...
All the line's have speed right now.
If you want the second to work, Cole need's to drive the net WITHOUT THE PUCK. DD passes, Eller shoots. I know this look's really stereotyped but I'm sure it could work.
The third line get's soft minutes and FIRST PP and now our best passer has 2 great shooters and we have maybe one of the fastest line in the NHL here.
Moen is slow on the fourth, but he's not exposed because Armstrong is not there.
Also MT gives a wake-up call to Cole, if it doesnt work he's benched.
I like our team but i dont know when we gonna get that elite top line player. Galchenyuk will become one but none of our wingers outside pacioretty will ever hit 60points ever again and once or defenseman stop producing its gonna get ugly.. i would really apprecuate if soon rather than later we could a player like that..
He played average. White brings more emotion/energy.
I think he played below average. Maybe not that awful, but sitting him sends the message that vets aren't allowed to coast. Next stop is sitting Cole or demoting Gionta to the 3rd/4th line, but they won't do that yet.

It won't take long until they change their mind so I will not give them any credits. All the positive things they say about Eller, will be used against him next week if he have a bad game, where all the the team suck like our first game and he's the next one to be scratched.
Anyone disappointed by Pacioretty ? He has some assists but he's not playing well and I don't remember him taking a solid sog this season yet. We need his goals.
