Then it hit me, when Bryz had his legged wrapped around the pipe and was visibly in pain (for the second time this week) what if Bryz goes down for a few weeks? The change in goalie could easily be the difference between making the playoffs, or missing them.
This is the second time I thought Bryz was injured... scary to think of MFL as our starter... no, not scary, terrifying.

Leighton and Boucher as our goalies if Bryzgalov gets hurt?
I would prefer not to think about it. Makes me want to puke.

Bryz when asked about his mental preparation after the game.

The horror of a Bryz injury actually almost made me puke in my mouth last night while attending the game.....if it actually happens it will be projectile.

I still can't believe Leighton is the backup on this team with Boucher as "insurance."

I like how Bryz is essentially saying **** you to the media.

Now that he's playing good they have no reason to make fun of him. You know they are just waiting for a gaffe. They are so fake.

Another Bryzism

Quote:
Asked about what was the defensive key to this victory (vs Tampa), Bryzgalov gave one of his amusing responses where he avoids the question with humor.

“You know, I have no idea,” he said. “I only have to be responsible for my job. We can talk about my game. I stay away from the judgment.”

Ilya Bryzgalov is in vezina mode. He looks unstoppable. That was 2 insanely fun hockey games to watch in a row. It's awesome having one of the best goalies in the league!

haha a little exaggerated

I am REALLY enjoying watching Bryz though. He is completely different than last year. Is it mental? or is he physically better?

The question with Bryz, including last season, was never about talent. He's proved how good he is over multiple seasons, and I don't buy that ******** about Phoenix's system because he was just as good over multiple coaches.

I think it's safe to say its a mental thing with Bryz. He seems more comfortable here, more focused and he actually seems to be enjoying himself. I didn't see any of that last year.

Actually, for large stretches of last year he was just like this. He had a rough patch early and then got hurt heading into the playoffs which hurt his mobility.

This is how he always played for Phoenix and Anaheim. He's really good when he's on, and so far he's been on.

He's been on but god damn the options we have at backup. I literally was saying "cmon Bryz shake it off buddy if you go down so does the season" This team misses without Bryz. No discussion Boosh and Leights get us a shot at the #1 pick
