I don't know why people are freaking out over this loss. We battled pretty well considering the injury situation.

WHY NOT SKATE FISTRIC?!?!? I want this guy to play every game.

Heck, I almost want to see one of our puck movers from the AHL come up to play in place of Potter or Whintey. I passionately hate our third defensive pairing.

I like Whitney, I try not to rag on the guy. But damn, he has been unbelievably, brutally, terrible this year. Arcabello was pretty damn bad tonight too.

The worst part about Whitney's struggles is if a better option existed within the organization that player would be on the team.

This team has so many issues right now.

It's almost like management is unable to ice a better team.

The oil looked passive and discombobulated that whole OT, amateur hour by Whitney at the end...you could sense it coming in the last minute

but not the balls to keep him sitting.

I'm mad that we lost but I'm not as down on the team as I have been in the previous few games.

Besides the first period the team battled pretty hard despite some poor reffing and some brutal injury problems. Whitney needs to go though for sure.

Oilers lose mostly because they don't know how to make the simple plays out of their own zone. Its a real pizzoff with how they play in their zone. Terrible. Faceoffs are terrible against an even worse faceoff team.

The plus side..

Hemsky was the best player out there, followed by Hall, Dubs and Harti.

Justin Schultz had a decent game as well.

I once was a huge fan of Ryan Whitney, but not anymore. He sucks so bad this year that Potter makes him look bad.

Can't be too mad considering we're cursed by the hockey gods. I'll take the point.

More mad at the refs for missing that call than I am at Whitney. He got beat one on one by one of the best players in the history of the game. It happens.

Man, go read Whitney's @ replies on twitter right now. I don't know how these guys can read the crap people write to them and not want to dig a hole and never come out.

I thought Barker was the worst it could get but clearly I was delusional.

Do we have a GM? Or is he preparing for the draft?

Out of the loop, I guess?

I was actually happy with the way the team played, particularly in the third, but it still sucks to lose.

Jagr is legendary!
We are on a four game losing streak and have one NHL center. Your move Kreugsy

Yea I think this might be the end of Whitney in Edmonton. That was absolutely embarrassing defence.

just like in the 80's when our 4 on 4 play was too good, so they changed the rule... now our powerplay is too good, so they only call half the penalties

anyways, hard to be mad, Jagr is one of my all-time favourites, but we seemed to dominate the last period, disappointing not to get 2 points tonight.

4 loses in a row!

Whitney is done...the guy has lost

time for a fresh start in a new organisation...but can someone tell me why he was out there? he's lost his legs

Eberle is also weak and no confidence

Hall is our captain plain and simple...he's getting better and better

I want to be upset but I'm not. I'm just happy to get a point. Loser and all.

With our severe depletion in quality at the C position, I thought we did quite well. Especially with what we've had to work with.

I thought Dubnyk played well.

Whitney blows and we need to be able to handle the cycle in our own zone better.
