Unbelievable. In a shortened season we simply can't afford reffing like this.
also a weak call on Daley against PRV...Oil didn't capitalize

it goes both ways...loser teams have excuses

Thinking about watching another 35 games like this seems daunting. At least Dubnyk has been a bright spot.

Is it Dubnyk protocol to let in a minimum of one softy a game? I don't blame the loss on him, but cut out the soft goals every game and we have an amazing tendy.

Whitney is junk.

Whitney actually manages to bring Potter down...wow that's sad.

Hall is our captain plain and simple...he's getting better and better
I completely agree with everything you've just said. Hall is Captain! The only player playing good on the top line all season.

..And yes, let's hope Kruegs scratches Whitney again. Is Tuebert hurt? Hell.. try Pecks again!

Another game where the Oilers fail to register more than 2 goals (now 7 of 10). People are freaking out because this team is showing all the deficits that it has shown for 3 years prior.
Yup, but we're just going to get more posts from people that think everything is hunky dory. Seems like it's never the time to be upset over losses, maybe once the season is done?

Whitney and Smyth are complete plugs. Sorry Smyth fans, time to hang them up. Whitney has absolutely nothing to offer. Can't even complete his first pass anymore. Too slow to recover and too slow to retrieve. He has nothing left to offer. Looks like his heart has been removed too.

Man is Eberle snake-bitten!

Hall at Center seems like it is worth experimenting at this stage. Arcobello is simply not on an NHL level. At least he does nothing to compliment our roster. Can't make up in defends of face offs for what he lacks in size and offence.

Any word on the X-ray results from this eve?

Happy with the point considering the center injuries...

Hard to take though when they missed an offside which resulted in a Stars goal then missed a blatant too many men call in OT.

Not sure if Hemsky took a highstick or a puck in the face but if it was a stick that was another missed call too...

Gotta say Hemsky played great tonight, Hall was dominant especially in the third. Eberles shooting percentage is falling fast....

4 losses in a row, ouch.

I just don't get the NHL.

4 officials on the ice nobody makes that call yet the "average joe" hockey fan gets it right away - and the puck was played!

It really boggles the mind.

Feel like we took it to them in the 3rd but just can't buy a goal.

Hopefully RNH and Fistric and Eager are good to go, Hordichuk doesn't need to be on this team, and Arcobello looks lost out there.

Looks like sitting him in the press box didn't do Whitney any good...

If guys like Eberle could actually put the puck into the net, it could help overcome those softies Dubnyk lets in. Problem is the team can't score more then 2 goals in a game.

What does Ralph see in Whitney and Potter? Seriously, they're absolutely ****ing terrible and shouldn't belong in the NHL. These guys are AHL defensemen.

Hemsky was flying again tonight. Yakupov is 10x more dangerous on RW. Eberle doesn't have an ounce of confidence right now. Schultz is good. Hall is good at face-offs.

I don't see the reason for Smyth hate this game.

Certainly wasn't good, but wasn't Whitney-like.

PP, 5 on 5, 4 on 4......is there any situation where Whitney doesn't suck? I'd rather have Barker at this point honestly.

To be honest, I think they deliberately didn't call it. Hard to believe not one of them saw it.

You would think Whitney himself is getting embarrassed at this point.
Horrible coverage on that OT goal but the even worse play was when he just gave up the puck behind the net like a little kid in the first period. I couldn't believe what I saw.

Good ol' Stauffer on the OT goal - "Ryan is just the kind of guy who will say he could have had a better stick in there."

Unlike Stauffer and Brown, I'm not even going to blame Dubnyk on that goal. Allowed to walk right into the slot, Jagr isn't going to miss many of those.

I liked Hall's jump tonight.

Souray with his fourth of the year and second consecutive GWG tonight. Just saying.

We actually outshot Dallas for the people who care about that kind of that kind of thing.

Peckham > Whitney

If Krueger doesn't see how horrible a player Whitney is, and have the sense to use him as the 8th D-man, AND take him off the damned power play... then I hope Whitney suffers a season ending injury. Teubert is better, and both Petry and Potter are better on the PP.

I think Tambo should figure out how to use his smartphone.

My 20-month-old daughter seems to be able to use mine fairly well.

"Missed call" sort of implies to me that the refs just didn't see it or misinterpreted a play. That was not the case. All 4 officials on the ice saw exactly what happened, it was a black and white situation, the easiest call in the game, they knew it was a penalty but they simply chose not to call it because it was overtime. Situational reffing at its finest.

Oh yeah, and Whitney is the worst skater in the NHL by a pretty wide margin. I understand that with the injuries you will lose some speed, but it never even looks like he is trying to skate hard.

Still down at Rexall, got some news to report. Ryan Whitney has just finished his pivot on Jagr's goal.
