Our 24th ranked prospect is lighting the WHL on fire right now, albeit as an overager. Hopefully he can become that #1 we have needed since Belfour.

Between Nick Mattson and Garret Ross for me and I went with Garret Ross. Kind of like Shaw, drafted as an overager and I like his game. He is similar to Shaw, pesky type player but has more size than Shaw.
Garret Ross was tied for 4th in OHL points last week. He was a nice mid-late pickup. I think another 5th rounder like Shaw. Not sure but pretty sure? Anyway we have done well in our 3rd-5th round picks.
I don't think there's any chance Carruth becomes an 'elite' goaltender. But, with goalies, it's really hard to say. Carruth has looked solid in the WHL up to this season - not great, no elite; just solid - but maybe this season, with how well he's played, can spring-board him into becoming a legitmate, potential starting goaltender prospect.
