Keep an eye on Rimouski's goalie (Desrossiers?). My uncle raves about him. He looks like a decent goalie option in the 3rd.

Please try to get as much as information on the Rimouski players, I am very curious on Gauthier tbh. If you can

Seth Jones has really picked up his play the past 2 weeks, 12 points +9 in his last 7 games.

Doesn't look like he is going to relinquish the #1 ranking without a fight.

He had 51 points playing midget hockey last year, and has already reached 51 points this year in the Q. I'd say he's a late bloomer, but he's still 17 until the end of April, which has to make one wonder how dominant this guy could be once he really starts to round out his frame, and gains more experience.

I won't even try to guess where he should/will go in the draft, I just haven't seen much of most players outside the QMJHL, but if we end up taking Gauthier I'll be thrilled.
One thing I noticed about Gauthier is for a big guy he's pretty smooth out there. He's a good skater and his strides aren't awkward like most big guys. He also has a pretty strong wrister. I had read though that he was very aggressive, but I didn't see that in my viewings. He seemed a little passive actually, though it was a small sample size. I don't like passive big players, but I'll give the scouting reports the benefit of the doubt.

My dad'll be at the game tonight as well, I asked him to keep an eye on Gauthier for me, so I'll make sure to post any kind of analysis I get.

Don't think +/- should apply... that is a strong team, some players have +55 on that team.

Yes they are, but just look at the games the past 2 weeks after the glow of the WJC was over. He has picked it up. Crazy stats, and numbers.

I'll be really upset if anyone in the east grabs Seth Jones. I hope he's playing out West.

Philly has to pick up their play..Washington will likely finish bottom 5 but if Ovie isn't a superstar that team is headed nowhere for a while with a coaching carousel and a GM that won't be fired.

Easy one for me, Justin Bailey. If he is available.

This guy was a target of mine since September regardless of where he goes in the first or 2nd rd.

If he's there, might as well get Max Domi. He's slated to go around there.

25-30 range?

Fucale, Mantha, Horvat, Compher, Duclair, de la Rose, Santini, Kujawinski, Hartman all wouldn't be bad picks.

A bunch of these players could go higher though.

They should ship out Kipper and Iginla both. Iginla to Pens, Kipper to Chiacgo?

He's a beaut. As I said earlier, I have him ahead of Mackinnon. No slight to Mac, but Drouin is just good and he deserves to at least be in the conversation at #2.

Funny thing is he didn't play terribly well tonight. 2 goals were right place right time tap ins in the paint. His assist was nice but otherwise turned the puck over a lot and was pretty ineffective. Kept blowing the defensive zone way too early and his line got hemmed in several times because of it. But the whole team was doing that tonight.

MacKinnon looks like he best player on the ice whenever he's out there. The wheels and hustle are unbelievable. He's been snakebite lately though. Enough so that I'm concerned if he has the elite finishing needed to be a top goal scorer at the next level. Kid has the "it" factor that guys rave about. Comes up huge when the game is on the line and in big moments. Tied the game up and sent it to OT from his back in the 3rd.

Focused a lot on Gauthier tonight as desrosiers and morin were out. Looked decent. You can see the natural tools and he was used head to head with Mackinnons line all night. Not gonna contain them, nobody does, but he held his own. Great on the PK and had a few chances but no finish. Slow skater but powerful. Uses his body well. Not the skillset I'd want to draft in the top 10 but he's got a great frame and mindset that you can pretty much guarantee he'll be an NHLer at some point. Tough to say much more after only one game.

Said Gauthier was strong, played a solid game, and though he didn't have any points, was usually out shutting down the Moose's top line. Overall, said it was a really exciting, even game, and that Rimouski was the toughest team he's seen them play against this year.

25-30. Bailey for sure. Loved his game when I watched him a couple times and he seems like a great character guy in an interview I watched. Might've been on TSN? I don't remember

Sean Monahan, a guy we may be in position to draft this June, 2 goals last night on the rebuilding 67's.
