Honestly, I'd rather hold onto Bickell right now and I've been hard on him his entire time in Chicago. Eller's a nice player, but we have alot of Eller-like players. However, if we could get Eller for Bickell and then get a big, physical winger to put on a line with him and Stalberg, I'd be in favor of it.

Bickell has value around the league. That said, you take Eller and run

There actually is an article titled "Lars Eller a Chicago?", written in French when you type Bryan Bickell Lars Eller into Google. Third article from the top. Never heard of the site though.

Change of scenery trade

Frolik has defensive value. Sometimes this gets over looked. I'm not sure I want to mess with the best pk unit in the NHL. But I might?

Michael Frolik to Minnesota

Devin Setoguchi to Chicago

I'm thinking straight trade, but each team could throw in a change of scenery prospect as well.

I actually kind of want to keep him now.

I'd think about moving Stalberg for a 3rd line thumper or a defensive minded 3rd line center and let Shaw move to the wing.

I almost do too. I mean when everything is working you don't want to mess with chemistry. Setoguchi needs a change of scenery and Frolik does not.

I wonder what value Setoguchi has right now it is low.... I remember him with the Sharks and man he was dangerous. Setoguchi with the right top six...in our top six would be very interesting. Even on our third line he could put up points.

I would much rather have Setoguchi over Frolik, AINEC.

See when Frolik bombed out, he has defense to fall back out. If the bottom falls out on Seto, there's not much use in the lineup.

I may be alone with this, but I hope Bowman tries to get Dave Steckel or Nik Antropov as rental before the TD.

Whenever hawks posters type the word "Offersheet" a notification should pop up that says...

"Our apologies Hawks fan, but the Chicago Blackhawks cannot make a realistic Offersheet because they lack a 2013 2nd and 3rd round pick"

And then be directed to the official NHL rules on offersheets

It might not make sense, but I don't want to trade Bickell. Even for center depth. He's finally playing hard and well after two seasons of...not. I enjoy seeing him hustle, hit, and play well. Even if its not in the absolute best interest of the team to keep him over Eller

Getting the 3rd back from our former employee should be doable though. Maybe 3rd + 5th in 2014

Antropov, no, way too slow, wouldn't fit. Steckel, absolutely, size and one of the premier faceoff guys in the league, very good addition to the 4th line.

Would love Ribiero if the Caps falter, just think his sneaky style fits in great with Sharp/Kane would be amazing to watch... I'd be willing to move anyone in rockford and minors for him. Assuming Saad stays on the pro roster.

Saad/Carcillo - Toews - Hossa
Kane - Ribiero - Sharp

is amazing top six

It looks good on paper, but is Ribeiro defensively responsible enough to play on a line with Kane and Sharp? If not, you'll have to throw off chemistry and put Kane with Toews and Hossa "down" to play with Sharp.

Could always offer sheet him in the offseason after the draft.

Yeah or get the picks back from Winnipeg in a trade. But the Hawks won't have cap space for ROR, so it's a moot point.

Ribeiro wouldn't be asked to provide defense. We'd have our shutdown line back with Bolland at 3C. Lines 1 and 2 would crush opponents lines 2-4 so much that we'd be fine. The Hawks are an offensive team. We need to strengthen our strength by getting a good 2C and Ribs also is very good on the PP, which is another area that could use improvement.

I think it was BWC who made a proposal for Ribeiro and Chimera. That would be a solid deal for us. Chimera has trouble finishing at times, but a lot of guys in our bottom-six right now also struggle in that regard. However, I would probably pass on getting Chimera since you probably would have to deal Frolik or send Shaw down. I would want to see Shaw play wing again first.

Pirri, Bickell, and a 2nd for Ribeiro?

Saad-Toews-Hossa
Sharp-Ribeiro-Kane
Carcillo-Bolland-Stalberg
Shaw-Kruger-Frolik
Mayers, Bollig

You can flip Kane and Hossa if Ribeiro isn't cutting it defensively.
