The league will let players go.

The Russians are going regardless.

I know the league does not want to shut down for 2 weeks.

If I am the League I limit the # of players from any one team to 4, with possible 5 under special circumstances(ie. at the teams request, or 5 different countries represented). Then play a limited schedule of two game per week per team.

So a player might miss 5 games, but the league never stops playing.

Nice of you to give him the A, but Fowler is American.

Maybe the A is for American

EDIT: I was going to put Tyler Myers in that group, totally forgot about him! He does kinda suck now however.

That was entertaining.

Canada's a little lean at LW so I had to move some folks around for that.

For forwards, tried to keep it to the formulas that have worked for them before (e.g. Giroux got 93 points with Jagr/Hartnell -> Dangler/Bruiser -> Tavares/Benn; Stamkos plays with Malone/St. Lous -> Powerforward/Speed+Passing -> Nash/Eberle)

For defense, it was mostly just about balancing speed between the pairs.

Anyway...

E. Staal - Crosby - Perry
Nash - Stamkos - Eberle
Tavares - Giroux - Benn
Richards -Toews - Bergeron

Doughty-Weber
Pietrangelo-Letang
Staal-Keith

Luongo
Price

Spares who could all make it:
E Kane/Spezza/Sharp/Duchene/Couture/Getzlaf/Seguin/Hall

Seabrook/Myers/Vlasic/Burns

Fleury/Ward/Howard

Stamkos - Crosby(C) - Nash
Giroux - Tavares - Perry
Duchene/Neal/E. Staal(whoever is playing best) - Toews(A) - Eberle
M. Richards - Bergeron - St. Louis(if he is still playing) or Benn/J. Staal/Seguin
Spezza

Letang - Weber(A)
Keith - Doughty
Myers - Subban
Pietrangelo

Price
Luongo
Ward/Fluery

I think all the spots are filled except the Extra Forward and a 3rd line winger and 4th line winger, Marleau could be in the mix if he plays out of this world until then lol.

Edit: Added Captains.

Myers has been a heaping pile of **** for the last two years. There is no way he gets the nod over Girardi/Subban/Hamhuis/M. Staal.

Agree with everything else.

J. Staal's defensive game blows Duchene's out of the water. With that many big guns on the team, losing some offense for far superior defense seems like the better move to me.

I would personally prefer Bergeron to J. Staal though.

Here's mine designed to build chemistry quick, although I refuse Seabrook:

Neal-Crosby-Giroux
Lucic-Stamkos-St.Louis
E.Staal-Getzlaf-Perry
Nash-Toews-Sharp
Tavares

Keith-Weber
Hamhuis-Doughty
Campbell-Pietrangelo
Letang

Ward
Price
Fleury

I'll admit there are some mildly wacky decisions, but I wanted lefties on left-side and righties on right-side across the board so there's no exceptions, instincts can kick in all the time (hence Letang as 7th). Campbell is a bit weedy, but big ice, I don't necessarily care how big my d-men are, I want them to go get the puck and go the other way. Hopefully there's someone better, but Canada certainly has a glut of RH d-men and a lack of LH ones. All 4 forward lines have teammates and mostly linemates together with complementary guys (sort of).

Honestly we have some much talent it's kind of a headache to even try and make a team like you guys have :O

Especially all of the young talent this time around, we have so much depth at C and LW

Keep Seabrook off the team. Also you guys are making too many soft 4-scoring line teams.
