When was the last time Lundin was even in an NHL game, I think he dos his best not to make any mistakes & stays back a lot so not to get beat deep.

I'm hoping he can be like Methot is for Karlsson, except for Gonchar.

Why is Weirdcock not in the lineup over Benoit?

Wouldn't that be another find & put an end to needing another defenceman.

Benoit is better then weir in his own zone by a larger rating then weir is better then him in the attacking zone.

So Benoit is the better overall player at the moment

Showing off Benoit for a trade maybe, they will lose him if he goes through waivers?

Ott: Benoit, Bishop
Edm: 2nd rounder 2013, 5th rounder 2014

Yes plus I think it's because he is older, they may feel he is more mature, less prone to panic & he does play a pretty safe game, at least so far. Based on Bingo stats he has more pts, was thier captain & has more experience. It could also be that he can play the right side & both Borocop & Wiercioch can be returned to Bingo without going through waivers while Benoit could be picked off waivers by another team needing defensive help.

I don't even know if Weircoch is even better than Benoit in the attacking zone. I agree that Benoit is definitely better right now but Weircoch will get his turn.

Looks like Wier and Boro will be scratched.

Lundin in his rookie year played 81 games and was one of two players with positive +/- on the last place Tampa Bay team. Not bad I guess.

Patrick Wiercioch really needs to add like 20 pounds to his frame. What is he like 6,4 and what 185? needs to get up too around 210 or a least 200 his lanky body makes it hard for him to defend the puck cause he doesnt have the crazy speed and agility of a karlsson.

If he cant get bigger i only see him as a #6 who plays a ton on the PP.

Those forward lines has to be the worst in the NHL. Who can compete with those?

First line consists of 0 players who belong on a first line in the NHL. Heck, Zibanejad hardly even belong in the NHL period.

Imagine how good Karlsson would've been if he had the same quality in playmates as the rest of the top defencemen.

He should get there: hasn't been with the big club long, and he'll start to benefit from the training staff soon.

Yep.

People don't mention Benoit enough because he's not a high end prospect or young, but he's been very good since coming up for us this year.

That isnt very shocking. Boro and Wiercioch are young, and one could easily make a case they should be in the AHL if not for injuries. Benoit is a better two-way guy with more experience. His offensive contribution is a bit underwhelming, but he is more consistent.

Yep we might as well just quit the season and fold, turn into an AHL team.

Zibenejad is 10x better than Butler last year on that top line.
Turris is a PPG player so far, so I dont get the *****ing.
Alfie is alfie

And you still got Michalek and Silfver.

They arent elite players yet but under the system they work out just fine.

Get off the ledge and watch some games. The Turris line was going head to head against the top line in the league last game and outproduced them, not to mention it was the only game this season Vanek didnt get a point.

One could argue that the lack of depth on our team is what allowed Karlsson to blossom into such a good player. We see it with Spezza too...he has to take on more responsibility because of his team's deficiencies and because of it he's becoming a much better all-around player.
