Finished Fallout: New Vegas last night.

That brings my list to four of completed games so far this year.

Batman: Arkham City
Lego Batman 2
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Fallout: New Vegas

I went through and looked yesterday, and that has pretty much cut my backlog in half. The only games I own that I have not finished are Assassins Creed: Revelations(the next game I'll do), Battlefield 3(about halfway through, just got bored originally), and Dead Island(not sure if I'll finish this one. The mechanics of the game frustrate me so much but it is such a great concept for a game).

I think the only game I'm going to get in the next few months is the new Tomb Raider. Possibly Aliens: Colonial Marines, but I'm thinking I can just rent that one.

Started up Final Fantasy 9 last night. Looked absolutely horrible with the jagged edges and pixelation. But then I found "smoothing" in the settings and it actually is very nice now.

Of course, two hours in and I go to save my game...I don't have an emulated memory card. And I have to quit the game to make one. Ugh.

Absolutely loved that game. My favorite of the series. Hope you enjoy. 2 hours is really the tiniest drop in the bucket.

I played it back in 2001 and got to the last disc which froze on me. Loved it. The settings are beautiful and it was kind of a "throwback" fantasy game, not a sci-fi game like the newer ones.

RPG's were my favorite from the SNES through the Playstation. FF IV and VI, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, FF7 and 9, etc. Before that it was platformers, after that first person games.

I'd love to see more first person RPG's, kind of like Obvlivion/Skyrim but instead of being wide open world, go ahead and make it more linear and focused. Not FF13 linear, but you know what I mean. I really do feel there's some kind of happy medium between strategic turn-based combat and hack and slash too.

Really wish The Last Story would come to PS3.

Yeah, It's a shame about the Last Story. I would love to play through another game to the music of Nobuo Uematsu.

Did you ever play Legend of Dragoon? I've always felt it was really under-rated.

There were a string of quality RPGs that came out right at the end of the Wii's life...Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Pandora's Tower, Skyward Sword...honestly if you don't have one, it might be worth just dropping the like $50 to pick up the system. There are a few other classics you'd be able to get your hands on, too: Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 were maybe the best games of the decade; Kirby's Epic Yarn was brilliant and overlooked, and sort of went along as part of this beautiful renaissance of 2D platformers along with Donkey Kong Country Returns and New Super Mario Bros Wii; the Wii version of Metroid Prime is easily the best; and of course there's Brawl.

I play most of my games on my 360 but every once in a while Nintendo would put out one of their heavy hitters and I'd just play the Wii nonstop for a few weeks. Never used it that consistently but those occasional binges were glorious.

Actually, now that I think about it, I use my PS3 in kind of the same way. Sony's exclusives just aren't quite as transcendant as Nintendo's. Seriously, Nintendo could just tap my vein and inject their games. Nobody else does it like them.

So that city of mine that I got up to 2 Million is now up to 2.25 million and I have done nothing but change some roads here and there.

And I hit a million on my all-high-wealth city.

I hope EA removes the always online DRM from the new Sim City...some day. But I know it wont be as fun because I highly doubt it will be moddable, at all. That would defeat the purpose of DLC, after all. Only EA can extend their games. Blah.

So you know that city of mine that had 2.25 Million? It now has 3.1 Million.

I had gotten it to 2.5 Million when I started to notice something: despite all of my sims having a maxed out EQ, my school grade was considered low. So I googled the issue, found out it's because the Opera house reward is bugged to bejeezus and back. It has an educational capacity but no way to monitor and increase funding for it. So I downloaded the mod someone made to fix it a decade ago and went through the lengthy installation process (have to go through and demonish EVERY opera house I have before installing it, otherwise the mod wont take and if I demolish after installing, its an instant crash to desktop).

So I re-build my opera house, jack the things funding as high as it will go, and 600,000 sims move in to my city LITERALLY OVERNIGHT.

That just shows you how BIG this bug is. And I have a feeling my city now has a crap ton more growth ahead of it now that this giant cap has been annihilated.

So apparently this goal is completely legal in NHL 13.

After a long break, I decided to start playing HUT again and here's my team as of today:

Parise - Koivu - Vanek (SOTW)
Heatley - Brodziak - Seto (SOTW)
Bouchard - Hudler - Clutterbuck (SOTW)
Mitchell - Konopka - Rupp (RW position)

Scratches: Cullen, Latendresse, Nick Palmieri

Suter - Spurgeon (Assistant)
Goligoski - E. Johnson
Niskanen (LD) - Gilbert

Scratches: Alzner, Ballard, Falk, Stoner

Backstrom
Harding (SOTW)

Not a terrible team. All Wild cards and 98% team chemistry.

I've still got Dark Souls waiting for me to finish it. Got just so frustrated after having 30k souls and 4 humanities stacked, then fall off a cliff and lose everything. So I've been venting that rage on CoD ever since, feel my wrath all ye preteens! Mwuhaha!

Plus naturally NHL, but that's a given. Have a lot of games I could / should finish, but haven't had the interest. School + work + watching NHL seems to take all of my time. Perhaps I'll try the new AC soon.

Try FF8 I've watched some uTube vids where they have a lot better graphics but I can't seem to mod them like that. Should be totally possible to fix them. Love it anyways, with crappy graphs and all. The whole FF series until FFX is superb but after X it isn't quite the same for me. I wist they focused more on things they used to pay attention to, not only the graphics. Oh... and Nobuo Uematsu has to compose the music.

I never got into FF games, sadly, but many of my friends (yeah, right, like I've got any) say that part of the appeal about the series was the mystery aspect as well as the epic story. Sadly, they don't have time as adults to go through the story any more, so they can't be arsed to sit down and play it.

That's why I nowadays play more NHL and less large, story-based games as well.

On February 20, Sony, is expected to make a major announcement. Can anyone say PS4!!!! Or I should say Orbis, cause I guess that's what they are gonna call it.

It may take a while to get it finished but it works as a brain relaxer since I rarely watch TV.

That's the one with the black mage and Steiner, right? Was good. I've been playing Final Fantasy Dimensions on my phone. Has the job roles much like Final Fantasy 3 did. I like it.

I've updated my lineup but I feel like I have too many players from Minnesota...

I decided to sell my Vanek SOTW card.

Mitchell - Konopka - Okposo

Scratches: Cullen, Latendresse, Rupp

That's insane, compared to my line-up.

I have Dana Tyrell as my 1C with Brunette and Frolik on wings.

Yes you do.
My team:

SOTW Fleischmann(A)-Koivu(C)-Sotw Grabner
Eriksson-Richards-St.Louis
Booth-Vermette-Pominville
Tanguay-Cogliano-Gionta

SOTW Ekman-Larsson-Johnson
Suter-Green
Markov-Girardi

Lehtonen
Varlamov

Want to buy a Gagne and change to C, make him my second liner and bump everyone else down.

Might replace Koivu with a SOTW Backstrom if SOTW Koivu isn't out...
