Sabres are hungry + Habs play 2 games in 2 nights + Habs' dfense shows sign of slowing down + Habs' kids are coming back to Earth, having some problems in their own zone...

Sabres 4-1

Fans' negativism will come back for a few days, but Habs will regroup and continue to play for a little more than .500 the rest of the way.

My hat is off to Claude Julien, his team played their game to a tee last night. We will see if the desired effect (emotional letdown/tired)will affect the Habs game tonight.Buffalo has a great goalie and good team capable of giving the Bruins a beatdown.(Scott knocking Thornton out of the game had it's desired effect when they played)There are no shortages of gameplans used between Northeast teams, actually it may well be one of the toughest divisions in the Eastern Conference. So don't underestimate Lindy Ruff or his team, any game the Habs have with them will be hard fought and well earned points for the victor every time they play.Go Habs Go!

I agree with you here. I was impressed yesterday by the Bruins, even if they didn't play their best game. They're calm and solid, confident, and it shows that they play together for a few years, under the same system. They perfectly know where each others are, to the contrary of the Habs' lines who sometime seems disorganized. The passes from d-fense to offense (and vice versa) are accurate and efficient. There is not that much difference in terms of talent between the 2 teams, but milage is one. Give Habs 1 or 2 more years to play inside this system and under the same coaches and they'll be ready to challenge the Bruins over a full season.

And man, was I impressed by Bergeron last night. Always at the right place, always making the right decisions. A very intelligent player. Certainly one of the most underrated player in the league. I'm sure he's the player every coach in the league would want to have. He'll be in Sotchi for team Canada, again, I'm sure of that.

If anyone should sit to have White back in the lineup it's Armstrong.

Even though he still has 39 games to prove wrong, his childhood dream will be coming to an end.

Tough to win this game:

1. Sabres want a revenge
2. Sabres play at home
3. Habs play 2 games in 2 nights + travel

I don't know, him and Eller were making a pretty good combo yesterday.

Bergevin and Therrien have a team concept in place, that insures the fans their team comes to play every game. The game tonight will be a good one for the fans and with Carey Price in goal the Habs are on even ground, this team plays through pain/tiredness.

I'm not into the Armstrong bashing. I think he's pretty effective as a fourth liner. He's drawing some penalties and he's not making any mistakes. He had a nice bodycheck last night and missed some scoring opportunities.

I'd have preferred Armstrong but Moen has been pretty bad too.

He's missed multiple scoring opportunities so far.

He should have at least 1.

Moen is apparently hurt lower-body, but I'm not sure it's that serious. Let's say I suspect Therrien jumped on this excuse to get him out of the lineup. With good reason. The guy isn't playing his role and lets all the dirty job to Prust out there.

Nothing against seeing Moen out as he didn't play very well since the start of the season. But that certainly would hurt Habs' PK which hasn't been very good. And I admit being a bit sad for a player who gave it all for this team the last few years, even when thing didn't went well. He did pretty well as a jack of all trades, doing a respectful job on the top lines when the coaches needed it.

I find it funny how people here talk as if Eller was a superstar. If he was on the first line on the wing, people would still complain. Can I know what's the big deal about this guy? When he'll prove he's capable of using first tier wingers correctly and feed them on a game to game basis, he'll get surrounded better. Before he does that, he still has quite a lot of things to learn.

But then again, from what I read last season, people complained when he was paired with Rene Bourque... It's as if Eller was too good for this team listening to some people.

I don't see how we win this game, but it would be nice to get a point
