5th/6th D to Tampa

Tampa could need a solid, defensive bottom-pairing defender.

This guy should have either only one year remaining on his contract or a low cap hit.

Tampa could offer:

Brian Lee
PP-specialist MA Bergeron
Lower picks.
One of our 4th liners (Hall, Labrie)

Age doesn't care, next year we will have one of our prospects up

O'Brien, Zanon, or O'Byrne (pick your favorite) for MA Bergeron or a third round pick.

Well O'Brien has to many PM, Zanon seems like a 7th D.
That would leave O'Bryne.
As I normally don't follow Colorado, can somebody say me if he is better than Lee and Bergeron defensivly?? Offensivly isn't important, he shouldn't make dump plays or support forwards to our goal, that's all I want.

Sarich? We would be looking for a 2nd or a 3rd and a prospect.

Brian Lee is right now the only "problem" on Tampas roster, but it's not worth giving up more than Lee/ Bergeron + pick/ 4th liner.
The 1 year contract is important, because either of Gudas, Barberio and Korobov will be promoted next season for sure as they all seem to be nearly ready.

So two things working against him, but otherwise he would be nice.

Those could be nice for the right price

Was this serious? Two top-6 prospects for a bottom-pairing D for half a season?

I'd be pretty excited if Edmonton could pull off some sort of Theo Peckham+ for Nate Thompson deal, though I suspect Thompson is less likely to move than some might think.

Detroit will give you Quincey for an apology letter for taking our first round pick last year

I would take Thompson off that list, and to a lesser extent Hall due to his face off abilities.

Either a pick in the 2nd/3rd round range or a 3rd line winger with some speed. I don't know if Tampa has anyone expendable who falls into that second category, so the former might work better. At this point he needs to go if only to force McLellan to play Demers and Braun full-time.

I would offer the 3rd+Lee, because we would have 9 D in Tampa and because of the risk of Boucher playing Lee again

Well I was never a fan of Hall so I am okay with him leaving, but I think you are right with Thompson, I will fix it

Sarich or Babchuk?

Two very different players, not sure what kind of bottom d you want.

Probably a 4th for either of them..

Thompson isn't moving. Great PKer. Boucher loves him. Perfect 4th line centre.
