In other news... Gronk was offered $3.75M for a porn role with the blond chick from the pictures after the Super Bowl.

Honestly, if I'm the guy, I'd do it. He obviously isn't shy about his body with the way he takes his shirt off everywhere he goes and acts like a total tool. It would double his earnings for the next season.... so why not? I mean, we are almost talking $4M dollars here. That is a boatload of money.

Yeah, why not, they can't show it on TV either so there wouldn't be as much of a **** storm as it may seem.

Goodell would suspend for 'conduct detrimental to the game'. No way in hell he'd do this.

Enjoy it while it last Sox fans. You're right, you have a championship and we are the embarrassment of the league. I completely accept that as fact.

Well a lot of contracts have a morality clause in them... which could screw him over. I believe that is how the Falcons got out of having to pay Vick any money, or part of it at least.

LOL. It'll give him leverage for a new contract.

Would be hilarious if he did it and the thing took off to the point where he switched careers.

It already looks like he is a guy that likes to bang a lot of strange as it is so it would not be all that surprising. Seriously, guy comes off like a total Jersey Shore d-bag.

I don't think he'd have to switch careers. I'm sure he could bang out a movie on his off day even during the season.

That's exactly what I'm saying... The guy would probably play football without a shirt on if they let him. Dangle nearly $4M in his face to boink a chick on camera, and you just try and tell me that he isn't going to want to do it. Only way he declines is if someone upstairs threatens his career over it, which I totally would expect to happen.

We're not really enjoying anything. The Sox are going to be awful this year. And by awful, I mean they'll be in it until the end and blow it, because that is what they do.

I just can't stand when people try to do the whole 'we have better attendance so we're better than you!!!' thing. There is nothing more childish than that.

Yeah I don't think Kraft would be real thrilled with that. As is he had to apologize for simply being in that original photo with her. And even if Kraft didn't step in I'm sure Goodell would because he's a control freak when it comes to the NFL and anyone/anything involved within it.

Yeah, standing on attendance as a way to say you are better is very lame. As for the Sox, they should just do what the Cubs are doing, to a T, the whole thing. The plus for them is that they actually have some guys with value on their team that could net quality prospects and get it started quick.

Attendance as a whole doesn't matter to me, and if I were living in Chicago still, I'd prefer the attendance to suck... At least it would be more realistic to catch more games. When the Cubs were a playoff threat, tickets were so ****ing expensive and it seemed the only time we could go was when someone gifted us tickets. It ****ing sucked.

Man I'm glad I don't have to deal with Cubs season tickets anymore. Talk about a big ****ing headache. Never buy full season baseball tickets, not in this town anyway.

While I understand the sentiment, I'd gladly take having a legitimate annually contending team and have it be harder to go to games. That's a good problem to have. It's just like people who ***** now that Hawks tickets are so tough to get it and talk about how easy it was during the Dark Ages to go to games. Yeah, sure, but which problem would you rather have? Again, not directing that at you, I get what you mean. It does suck, but I'd rather have that problem, personally.

Full season tickets would just be way too much, especially for a team like the Cubs with so many day games. I'd have to live right next to the park to ever consider, and even then I doubt I'd have the motivation and drive to sell all the ticket I would never use.

Partial packages are great. Just wish I had a team I cared enough about offer one, but that won't be the case for a long long time, if ever.

I get what your saying, and that's a good point... I could see and agree with an argument for both sides.

I don't even see another side to it. Haha. I don't want to pay for a crap product anyway. I don't want to watch bad hockey or bad baseball. I'll put up with if I see a legitimate rebuilding process in place, i.e. the Cubs right now, but that's it. That's just my take, anyway.

I have a lot of great memories of being able to go see so many Cubs games because of how bad they were, that wouldn't have been possibly had they been good. I guess I was saying that from a standpoint of that it would suck not having those.

Definitely. I went to about 4 or 5 games a year but there were a couple years at the end I just couldn't support them with money anymore. I knew people with season tickets at that time though so I was able to go to a couple games and just bought beer. As soon as Wirtz died, I started saving up cash to buy season tickets. Had he not died, I wouldn't have done it. It wasn't even about not winning, it was about him and knowing there was no hope. I was just as happy about Bolland, Keith, Buff, Ruutu and Seabrook as anyone else but I'm not paying to watch a farm team for the rest of the NHL.

Yeah I get ya. Makes sense. I could see that. I'm not acting all high and mighty, either. Been a lot of bad Cubs teams in my life and I've gone to a crap ton of games, because A. I'm a baseball fan, period and B. baseball traditionally is the type of game/event you can go to casually as just something to do on a warm summer day even if you have no rooting interest in either team.

Didn't come across that way at all. While it sucks that they did suck during those days, I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.

I don't think that would ever happen under Reinsdorf. They really just need to draft well and not selling prospects off every deadline as they did under KW. They can do that without not attempting to compete for 3-4 years.
