I agree with what has been said, the value and asking price will likely be similar to the Richards/Carter deals. I'd adjust this one:
1st, Oposo, Strome. 2nd liner with size, great prospect, potentially high 1st.
I'd be happy to throw in a conditional 2nd for a top 10 pick, or an alright prospect like Blacker or Ryan, but I think the Isles do OK this year. Borderline playoffs.

But to be honest, I'm certainly not overly interested in moving Kessel. Only if the right deal is there. If we move him, we may very well regret it if he goes off to score 40 or 50 goals or 90 pts somewhere else.
Yea for a few of them, but most we're great shots, you dont hit the post THAT many times by being predictable.
He tries to change it up, the only thing he doesn't do is drive the net, but he's never really been that kind of player so whatever. He definitely needs a dirty goal.
Whoa - can't let that slip on you. Kessel does a few things better than most, but doesn't do a lot of other things. He can skate, dangle, and shoot wristers and snappers better than most. He can also pass quite well. But he doesn't go to the dirty areas, get dirty, skate through checks/hits, engage the body, take slapshots, drive the net, fight, or hit.
Not that we need him to do all of that, but just that there's many things Kessel does not do.
I'm a big fan of Forsberg. Don't know enough about Carlson to make an educated opinion.
But our D is superbly weak. What's Carlson's defensive game like? We've got tons of offense coming through the pipes, so really, it's not a huge issue (though a mobile defence can take over games). I liked Holzer's game on Tuesday. Might have a player in him.
I have a feeling they'd refuse to put Forsberg in the deal. It's a strong draft this season so they may refuse to even put in a 1st if it's not a protected pick.

Maybe, I was thinking about Marcus Johansson being the other addition if Forsberg or a 1st wasnt coming back. Carlson is definitely one of the best starting points for any deal out there, especially with his pretty friendly cap hit.
I'd want : Carlson + In order: Forsberg/1st/one of Johansson/Wilson with a 2nd

I honestly don't think Van would give up Kassian but that would be fun to watch. Maybe the Lu situation is as bad as everyone is saying and they
it would also give the Leafs a ton of quantity which isn't necassarily a bad thing.
