I'd be pretty eager to take bets against the guys predicting a loss here.

Mainly because I have very little respect for the playing ability of this Sabres squad.

I agree, there the second line now anyways it seems. Chuckie should center Cole and Pacioretty and Eller could center DD and Gallagher on the third.

Rene Pleks BGally
Patch AGally Cole
DD Eller. Gio

When he'll prove he's capable of using first tier wingers correctly and feed them on a game to game basis, he'll get surrounded better. Before he does that, he still has quite a lot of things to learn.

But then again, from what I read last season, people complained when he was paired with Rene Bourque... It's as if Eller was too good for this team listening to some people.
Well he is by no means a superstar. But a 4th line player? The big deal is that hes big, talented and most importantly he can be relied on to play a good 2 way game. He is being completely wasted on the 4th line. Oh and last year Eller was better then Bourque.

Hopefully the boys don't take this game to lightly, what with the loss last night and a big game vs. Toronto on the horizon.

Last year as you wish, fact is Bourque, in his worst NHL season so far, still had almost as many points as Eller in his best.

Eller is not being wasted more than any other players out there. This guy has never been producing on a consistent basis, which is rather normal for any guy that's not a 70+ points scorer out there. And none of our other C out there deserve a demotion.

If you want to send a message and give him better linemates, well then get Gionta or Cole the hell out of their respective lines, and slot Eller somewhere on one of those lines. Though, people would still complain he's used as a winger...

Not sure he he is being "wasted" they benched him for not playing hard enough and he came back giving more. Since getting back in he has had a few good games, getting chances on PP and PK plus 1st line with Pacioretty out.

Just because his regular line is the 4th doesn't mean he is being "wasted".

Yeah, I can'y see Moen being a healthy scratch. He is one of the leaders, he hasn't been great so far but never terrible either.

You should not throw someone like Galchenyuk under the bus, because
some veterans are playing poorly. Let the kid play his sheltered minutes, and
give him a chance to work on his game.

Anyhow, DD played well against Boston. That, more than anything, is
the likely reason MT played that line so much. Perhaps his wingers will catch
on some day.

So you think Julien's plan was to look completely outclassed in the 1st period and hope it wasn't 4-0 so they could wake up in the 3rd and score 2 to steal a point? Riiiggghhhhhttt.

Although if DD's wingers don't pick up their play soon, Eller had one
strong game there and could use more ice-time.

We have 9 top 9 forwards.

Prust isn't one of them

Amen. I've been saying that since 3-4 games ago. We all love Prusty, but he can't keep up with the kids. Put Eller in there or even better, put Pac with the kids.

That could be true, but he seems a help to the kids. That should be a
lot more important than numbering your players from 1 to 12, and then
simply playing them that way. Both Eller and Prust could be in the top 10
forwards, and MT has used them that way.

Single games mean just about nothing in hockey. Sabres could very well win this one too, but I like the odds.

Buffalo's defense is decimated. Sure, Miller can steal the game, but their transition play will suffer.

If the Canadiens come out strong, they can take this game in the first and then play it safe. Otherwise, it will be a really tight game.

Yes and I thought they looked great. Prust is a beaut but his lack of skill hurts that line. If someone starts to **** with the Gallys then just send Prust out the next shift.

Hey Carey did I write any of those words that you are trying to say I think. You have no idea what I think and don't presume or imply you do.Edgar Cayce you're not buddy and I would suggest another pre-occupation,the one you're on isn't going anywhere fast.

Eller ALWAYS passes on opportunities to pass the puck to Galchenyuk. I noticed that in the red vs white game, I noticed it in the 3rd period of the first game vs. Toronto also, and yesterday at some point he did the same. I won't say it's a matter of jealousy because Eller isn't the best feeder out there, but he's taking some puck possession time away from Galchenyuk, and that's not a good thing.
