I don't want the Bruins to ever have to play against Thomas, even if it's just the Islanders.... I wish he'd retire a Bruin.

I love how Tim Thomas is traded, but he has a picture of Francois Beauchemin on the page.....

Nabby has played well, but you can see he will be overworked, he's played every game except 1.

Isles didn't need Thomas to get above the cap floor. They are above $50m. They must want TT to split time with Nabby.
To split time? No offense, but if Tim Thomas is in shape and wants to play hockey, he'll be the Islanders starter.

Vis joined the team yesterday and had his physical today. He's been added to their roster, according to tweets.

Cappy says the isles want Vis to come in and ease their top 4 mins.

Even if they are just taking the cap and not end up having to pay anything, youŽd figure this is some sort of preparation move on Boston`s part (Kessel homecoming ), they should bleed them for more than just a 7th.

Ek is being pretty definitive on this one. If it doesn't happen, whatever is left of his non-Flyers credibility will be gone.

Haha, almost seems like a statement move on Boston's part.

If the Bruins got Lubo for a goalie not even playing hockey I'm gonna rage.

Not only has Nabby played very well, Staples from out of nowhere, bought up the idea of the isles extending 36/37 yr old Nabby at the end of a recent article.

He quoted Nabokov's agent, who says he hasn't heard anything from Snow yet.

In this compact schedule, I think the isles would want someone to split time with Nabby.

Reports out there are correct: #Isles have acquired G Tim Thomas for a conditional 2nd-rounder in either 2014 or 2015.

Maybe nothing, Hawks signed some scrubs after moving Campbell.

So....something like TT + a 3rd for the dreaded player to be named?

Edit...Guess not.

From an Islanders perspective if we are out of it by the trade deadline, this deal allows us to trade a bunch of potential UFAs without going under the cap

Sure, but its certainly not going to be Thomas, not this year at least.

He hasn't played anywhere all year. Who knows whether or not he is even skating.

Move is cap-related -- #Isles needed to be over the floor by tomorrow, needed insurance against not being cap compliant the entire season.
