No. That is like when someone explains what your house smells like. You can't decipher it because you live in it. Maple Leaf fans can't see how over rated they make their players. They don't have the perspective of an outsider.
Regardless. Malkin, Stamkos, Doughty, Keith or bust. No way we are trading ROR for less than that.
If the compensation for an offer sheet is likely a 1st + 3rd (somewhere between 3.5-5M a year), a team likely to get a late 1st should try to make the deal. I don't think a team with a top-10 pick should make it, but if a team is likely to pick 20-30 I think RoR is worth it. Chicago, for example, could really use a good second-line center. Then again, I guess they can't offersheet him because they traded away their 2nd + 3rd for Oduya. Bad example but it's got to be worth it for somebody.

As said many times in many ways, Unless the 1st is guaranteed top 5, anything 5M or less will be matched by Colorado. Even if it means trading him later on in the contract.
Nothing to do with value but I dont think the habs would part with gorges. He is captain material. Prospects and picks would be what the habs offer IMO

As a non-beLeafer living in the thick of it all, I can assure you that plenty of radio airtime on our sports stations is spent bashing various aspects of the Leafs, from players right up to corporate. And this is on a station that's owned by the same owners the Leafs have.
And any Torontonian who knows Andy Frost and listens to Leafs Talk after the game, can tell you just what the opinion is of the team following any loss.
After 45 years (and counting) of failure, you'd be hard-pressed to convince anyone in this city that everyone overrates the Leafs.

Whichever team he goes to, you have to think Colorado will want a center and a defenseman going back. Mitchell and Olver are both 4th liners and that D is pretty weak.
I can see something like Wilson, Blum/Josi and a 1st from Nashville.
Would Bolland/Sharp and a prospect like Morin be enough to bring RoR to Chicago? Hawks don't have a 2nd or a 3rd rounder so don't see them offering picks to Avs
I'd do Sharp for O'Reilly straight up every day of the week.
