I am wearing my Tim Thomas jersey tonight when I play hockey for one last wearing, until the Canucks game next year.

Best Bruins goalie I have ever seen. Will always be "The Man" to me, and will never forget his play-off performance... For giving me the ultimate high as a sports fan.

He's had many an appreciation thread on here over the years... It's actually kind of really sad that this will be the last one

I wish for the best for Timmy Thomas. One of the best goalies the game has ever seen in my opinion.

Feel really lucky that I can say I saw Tim Thomas, that I was around for the Tim Thomas years. Best of luck, Timmy. You're a mad man!

Excellent Thread !!!

Loved watching Timmy.

Nice to sit next to at games when he wasn't in net.

Loved his hug with Marty St Louis after the series with Tampa.

Loved him knocking over the twin.

Loved him whacking Burrows.

Loved the look on Timmy's face after the "Burrows incident"...you all know that look.

Loved his classy responses to Luongo's foolish tire pumping comments.

Loved him winning the cup for us.

Loved the interview on the Nucks ice after game 7 when he said he felt like it wasn't over and they were moving on to the next round.

Loved the hug after the parade.

THANKS TIMMY !!

As I said in another thread you will ALWAYS have a special place in my Bruin's hockey heart.

I wish you the best and hope you return to the Garden someday to visit.

What can be said? No chance we get that Cup without him and his unique style. Plus:

Without him we don't have the Cup. I will always appreciate him for delivering to my kids the joy I had in the 70s.

Tim's style made every game fun to watch.

I hope someday they turn his Sedin hit into a statue.

Throughout every single round of the playoffs in 2011, I always got nervous watching the other teams play. I always kept thinking "Aw crap, this the round where the Bruins are gonna lose..." But then Thomas would just keep stopping shots, even against Tampa Bay, when I thought the Bruins really WERE finished.

After that game seven, I knew they could win the cup. Thomas wasn't going to be denied, especially not by a team with a goalie whose arrogance was repaid with humiliation in the last two games of the Cup.

Thanks for the run Thomas. You provided a hell of a story for Boston, one I'm proud to have bee able to witness.

Thomas was my favourite Bruins player and it's sad to see him go. Thanks for giving us everything you had when you played Tim.

His performance in our Stanley Cup run was a thing of beauty and he always came off as an excellent teammate.

Start of a new era, but it's sad to see him go.

He will always be remembered as one of the all time great Bruins.

Loved his competitiveness and willingness to do whatever it took to stop the puck.

Someone needs to post the video where he barrels over Koistitsyn for hitting ward from behind. Legendary.

There goes the greatest Bruins goaltender that I have ever seen in my lifetime. Thanks for everything Timmy.

Even though they lost the game and got put out of the playoffs, I feel fortunate that my first ever game at the Gahden was the last chance to see Thomas' in a B's uniform.
It was a real treat to watch him play in net for the B's and will never forget his performance in the Stanley Cup run, he was amazing!!!
