Just a year ago, we were all fawning over him for his impressive WJC performance. Now we get to see him in the big show. Can't wait!

I like this move. And it's a crazy feeling. Put the kid in the worst possible situation...

Our game on the road is not working at all and the Blues are angry from the last loss (because of referee) for the Wings and they want a revenge. They also lost 1-6 for Predators two days ago and are even more angrier because of that.

It's like... if Petr Mrazek is the 2nd coming of the Dominator... in this kind of cases... when the all odds are against you...

...this freaking kid will shut them out.

Still say Mrazek should have started against Calgary..
But I'll take this test for him, hopefully the Wings don't hang him out to dry.

Go Wings.

Going to be an interesting game that's for sure... Which Wings team will show up?

The one that tends to show up when Helm isn't around?

Could be that starting Mrazek for this game is more of a shot across the bow to the team defense instead of solely at Howard. Howard hasn't been great this year- made some fantastic saves and let in a fair amount of softies- but he's received little to no help in most games.

So maybe this is Babs saying to the rest of the team "Hey, if you won't commit to playing D in front of your franchise goalie, then you better in front of the untested rookie or the whole team will be embarrassed against a very good team."

That, or maybe Babs made the mistake of drafting Howie for his fantasy league team, and wants to do a little damage control on his stats.

Well, this should be interesting.

What a way for the kid to start; going up against arguably the best team in the league, in their barn. Talk about pressure.

That would be awesome. I'm not worried because Mrazek has a great attitude. If you put McCollum in this spot he might not recover for 3 years. Mrazek will be loving every minute of his first NHL action. I can't wait for the game to start.

Big D for Mrazek, huh? Let's go Wings, help him as much as you can!

Sorry new, trying to find link to net streaming game?

I'm not sure exactly what forum to look in for a link to the game streaming live vs. the blues tonight on 2/7. Provided that this is an appropriate questions, could somebody please provide both the link and the proper forum where I should normally look for this? Thanks so much.

Regards,
Soryn

Their third forward line? I'm also impressed by their third defensive pairing. Roman Polak on the third pairing?

It already did during the last games. The Blackhawks must be full of envy now...

During the WJC, Mrazek often had to face (and eventually let in) many shots. However, he played well and became the hot prospect he is today. Let's hope we will not use this rationale in search of solace...

Gruß,
BSHH

Gotta say it, I hate the Wings, and most Wings fans (have a few I get along with), that said, most of you guys are pretty level headed and I always love reading your GDT's.

You all are worried for Mrazek, but I'm opposite, I'm worried for the Blues playing Mrazek. They always seem to slack off when playing rookie goalies. I have a feeling it's either going to be a close game that Detroit wins, or a blowout in which St. Louis wins. It's a toss up.

Hoping for a entertaining game to watch with no injuries, and no phantom major head shots.

or Detroit could win in a blowout just putting that out to have all bases covered

Including the playoffs, Cleary has gone pointless in 19 straight games. In those games, he's averaged ~16 minutes and is -9. One goal scored in his last 37 games.

Is this the night

The Blues have spread out their size VERY well tonight. This should be a good game.
