Really, is there any difference between him and Ronning or Carter?
He did betray the Kings. He took $5M, came to camp totally out of shape and spent most of the season partying. How exactly did he "pick it up" toward the end of the year? By getting off the injured list? He sucked from beginning to end.

Betrayal is intentional. Do you really think that he intentionally struggled?

I think he intentionally came to camp out of shape, intentionally partied all year and intentionally did not take earning his salary seriously. Struggling is just a by-product.

Oh, and what happened to him wanting to play in Canada "in a city that breathes hockey night and day" - Phoenix? What a tool box.

Come on, you guys know a 40 goal season is now coming for JR...

Nah, he'll get a sunburn walking into the arena, then call it a season.

Responsibility and intention are two different things. JR is responsible for failing the Kings, but it doesn't make it intentional.

if jr had been half as good as he talked about being, then most people here would be ok with him.

So only giving 60% wasn't intentional? Or did he only give 60% by accident?
