Same Miller who was struggling in the first few games at the WJC. Miller will end up being very good at the NHL level.

Geez at one point, everybody who was average at the WJC are doing pretty good....Kuraly might even have a shot at the NHL....

That's funny considering he only scored 8 in 37 games AHL.

Don't look now but the Leafs are one point behind us and Kessel broke his scoring slump.

I am a bit surprised it wasn't the Leafs that traded a 2nd for Thomas. An un-conditional one at that, but then I remembered Burke isn't in charge any more.

Weird trade but it does make a lot of sense, now if we could just get the Isles to take Kaberle..

If you listen to Doug MacLean on Sportsnet, it's beyond his comprehension that Campoli is without an NHL job right now. Detroit is another team that might benefit from a little more puck movement/creativity from the back, but I'm not sure Campoli makes a good Red Wing. I think their standards would be hard to maintain for a guy like him, who isn't necessarily blessed with the best defensive awareness or decision-making.

Campoli is beyond horrible on a fast and hard contact ice. TBH I don't know what some fans are smoking. The Swiss league will be ideal for him. He won't need sheltering in his own zone, which is most likely why no teams in the NHL picked him up.

Ellerby to the Kings for a 5th rounder, wouldn't of minded taking a chance on him at that price.. good size, can play physical and we need a crease clearing defensive d-man.

And people think we could get a 2nd or 3rd for Weber

Yeah I would have taken him at that price. He'd be a solid bottom pairing option instead of Bouillon. Put him with Diaz and Subban with Gorges.

Too late now.

You are correct snake.I think he is right there with Kenny Holland as best G M in NHL.That money off cap is huge for any team wanting to add help at deadline.Pick be bonus is Tim decides come back.

What's the condition about? Is it simply if he comes back and play for the Isles?

Mind boggling that the islanders would be dumb enough to risk a 2nd rounder on the eccentricities of a psycho like Thomas. They just never learn.

He plays 1 game for the Isles, then the B's get their 2nd rounder.

Not going to happen though.

This year and next year or simply this season? Cause technically he does have a year left (next season) which he said he wanted to come back
