Seems like 4-8 right now. We will see by 11 oclock tonight. They will have the updated forecasts. We are right on the line for 8-12 inches though. Center city is supposed to get 7 inches, so we could see slightly more than that.
What time is it expected to snow? I have classes all day tomorrow
Around 5-7 pm it is expected to change over and then snow hard. We could get rates of 1-2 inches per hour. Banding might be a problem, and cause higher amounts.
Also depends on the report tonight. Watch the news, if you don't I will probably update the storm in here anyway. The low pressure which is bringing the cold Canadian air might be moving quicker, that's why you have some people upping their totals. More cold=more snow.
Never have I ever wished I lived in Boston, but tomorrow into Sunday would be unreal to be up there. They should get 30+ inches up there.
I'm waiting patiently for the new computer readings to come in. IIRC they come in at 1046 and then 11:16, that's why they hold their weather segment usually at 11:20.
We will have a better feel for how much at 11:30 no doubt though.
I remember i drove my sister down to DC and helped her move in during this storm on Super Bowl Sunday 2010. Longest day of my life. Hvanet had much snow recently, I think the last one was in December of 2010.
Alright so they are pretty much sticking to their predictions. Anywhere between 3-8 inches close to the Philly area, and more north. No matter what, the storm will be tricky, so updates most likely will be needed tomorrow.
If ya got to hit the roads tomorrow, just be careful. Also don't be a moron, I want to *****-slap the people riding other peoples ***** when the weather is bad. Just take your time and make it to where you got to go safely.
18-30 is what they are saying here. I want to see if this thing lives up to the hype. We have been down this road before. The latest the day after Christmas when they said 12-18 and we got 4.
Anyone expecting over 4 inches in Philly will be disappointed. I'd say 2-4 best guess for the city. The news stations around here all inflated amounts for ratings because its sweeps. North of the city round Trenton is more the 4 to 8.
I don't watch new stations for snow forecasts, they always cry wolf and it's worst storm ever blaaaah. I like intellicast, which says 1-3 for northern chester country.
You can also check the 511 system cameras all over the state to see what the realtime weather conditions are on major roadways in PA, I've put those in on some projects I've designed, so please check them out.
I just want enough snow to use my snow blower, this 1.5" stuff is a pain, shoveling hurts my back.
