Will say though, there is a palpable feeling of tension hanging over this game, like 1 questionable hit and all hell is going to break loose.

I absolutely agree. Sutter is killing the creativity of a lot of their players with his boring style of play. It is almost unwatchable at this point.
It's tough to put Carter at centre because he really needs a playmaking winger to play with
Yeah. They just don't have enough talent right now. Richards is not a good offensive player anymore. He's very average. Stoll is barely an NHLer. Kopitar is struggling. Williams is declining. Gagne has been declining and is always hurt. Penner sucks. And Dwight King might have had one of the biggest fluke playoff performances in recent memory.

This is why I was surprised to see them waive Loktionov, say what you want, but that kid at least has talent.

It's because their front office has gotten tunnel vision. They think Richards is an above average 2C still. They think Stoll is a solid 3C. Neither of those are true IMO. That's the only possible explanation for trading a young C with talent for a 5th round pick (lol). Them winning the Cup is looking terrible right now for them because that is the sole reason why they re-signed two awful players - Penner and Stoll. I hope they enjoy paying Carter and Richards for the next 188283464658273 years also.

They must have only watched the playoffs, where the Kings steamrolled the majority of teams.
