Maybe Murray is the speedy winger that the 2nd line needs.

He's the Clowe replacement for when we trade him.

I'm no apologist for the coaching staff, ever, but the defense is undecided because even they don't know what the hell is going on.

The Sharks are now the 4th rated PK in the league (GOOOOD), while being 21st in total PK time (BAAAD).

They've played over 10% of their entire season on the PK.

That sounds like the Sharks are the best in the league on PK; given that ratio of total PK time to PK kills. The other side, PP goals, is disappointing.

To me, the Sharks looked like they solved all of their issues last year in those first games of the season. Lately, it looks like they've slide back into their last year form with the exception of the PK.

But, above all, we are having fun attending the Sharks games this year and will be there tomorrow and bringing both son and daughter. The daughter has a friend that plays on the Lady Sharks and is becoming a Sharks fan.

the fact the sharks are still 8th in the league in power play %, just shows how stupidly high they were to start the year. no team would be able to sustain that type of power play dominance.

Concerning Murray, he blocks so many shots and doesn't seem to mind. That makes me think that he'd be useful to stand in front of the goalie on the PP. Moving him would be a task.

Hopefully, the 3 days gives them time to regroup a little, otherwise we need a major change.

half the power play would be killed off by murray trying to get out of the zone on a delayed offside.

Burns skated with Stuart at practice today...maybe his return is way, way closer then anyone thought, though I'd still be surprised if he played tomorrow as they have to make a roster move to activate Burns and Irwin was on the ice today.

Awesome. Were you at the practice? If so how'd he look?

I say let him get some practice time before we bring him back, might be worth it.

Also, I'm torn on seeing him with Vlasic vs. Stuart. Pair him with Stuart and that is a very big and physical pairing, but I really think in the long term developing the Burns - Vlasic pairing would be in the team's interest.

I believe he's been practicing, when they practice, with the team for the past 10-12 days. The only thing that's going to get him in game shape is playing games. Might be smart to dress 7 d-men for a couple of games when they do put him back in the line up.

I mentioned it earlier but with a short season that has very little practice time, it's smart of the org. to go with what they know works. If the pairings turn out to be what they used at practice today, the only 'new' pairing is Stuart-Burns.

What were the other pairings today?
Irwin - Boyle
Vlasic - Demers
Murray - Braun?

Exactly what I was hoping they'd do before the season started.
