I don't know how anyone can see Giroux has an attitude problem or isn't trying. It's painfully obvious to me that he's trying too hard and is over-thinking. His game is never at it's best, nor is anyone's, when he overthinks. He's trying too hard, he takes the C way too seriously and is trying to carry the team. When you TRY to carry a team you fail, you have to just do it.
He was interviewed between periods last game (?) and he was saying they were having fun and that's what it was all about (or something like that).
It sounded more like something Jagr would say and Giroux did not look like he was having a lot of fun!
Oops, that excuse makes no sense, I'll have to come up with another one.
There we go. You know snake bites can cause paralysis, so yeah, that's why he didn't move.
You're still not buying it?
Well forget you man because "Briere is clutch in the playoffs".
"Briere is clutch in the playoffs".
Honestly I used to be one of those guys when our offense wasn't absolute garbage. But now our offense sucks and we need guys to step up. He's getting paid big bucks to put the puck in the net instead he's basically useless right now. The "he tears it up in the playoffs" excuse won't mean **** if we don't even make it to the playoffs. So he'll have to find something else to be clutch at around June because we aren't making the playoffs if we continue to suck offensively.
I honestly hate the injury excuses people throw around when players are playing like ****. I listened to the radio on the way home from the game tonight and every caller and even the radio host kept using "I think Giroux's hurt" excuse. It's just annoying to me if he's hurt then take him out of the lineup because he's playing awful right now. I don't think any of them ever considered that fact that he's just playing awful right now for no reason.
Anyway we need our big guns to step up some time soon or we're in for a frustrating short season.

I understand that some people like to watch out for the silver lining out there that is that the team will start racking up goals once Simmer and Hartnell are back and that once we are healthy, we will be better but...
Anyway, a team that can't compensate for the loss of a couple of players is a pretty weak team!
If we have to wait until the Flyers ever get through a season without major injury woes, we never ever win a cup again. A good GM has to make up for it and bolster the roster accordingly.
Yes. But the team is "leaving points on a table" by loosing in SO.
In shortened season these point may make or brake at the end of the season.
I know. I think it's a stupid gimmick to begin with and I think they are stupid even more because the Flyers are historically bad at them. I wish they'd get a really creative forward like Giroux to go, because right now the only guy I ever really think is gonna score is Claude.
