Why did Boston get games 6 and 7 back to back?

EDIT: Maybe I was wrong about what I wrote below, but didn't something similar to this happen once? It's the damndest thing... I could swear I read about this.

---------

Wasn't it during the 2011 playoffs that the Boston Bruins got both games 6 and 7 vs. the Habs back to back on their home ice? So only 2 of 7 games were played in Montreal?

My understanding was that this was due to another event being scheduled in the Habs' arena.....

But what was the general reaction to this? It sounds messed up to me. How did you feel about it at the time? What about now? How did the media react to it?

Also, I believe I heard this has never happened before. It sounds strange to me. You would think the Habs would come first in Montreal. Is there another story behind this?

K yeah sorry..... it looks like I was wrong.

But didn't something like this happen once between two teams? I think it was the Habs and Bruins, not sure.

I remember hearing somebody complianing about something like that.

Please note: I'm not much of a Habs fan, they're not even my team. And I don't hate the Bruins, either.

It happened between Boston and Edmonton in the '88 Stanley Cup Final. Power went out at Boston Garden in Game 4 with the score tied and they replayed game 4 in Edmonton and Edmonton won the Stanley cup.

Edmonton swept the series in 4 games with 3 being played in Edmonton.
