All indications point to 1 game being the condition. It isn't going to happen.

It's a good move for the Bruins, good move for the Isles, although I don't know how good it is for Thomas.
Who knows if he plays for them at all.

They could toll the contract forcing him to play at least one season in NY or not play ever again.

I don't necessarily think so. Not soon, anyway.

Thomas is a rare case in that he has a high cap hit, but no actual salary because he is suspended. Any team that trades for Pronger however, also has to send him paychecks, and I would think a team that is below the cap floor is operating their franchise in such a way that they can't afford to be paying someone millions of dollars to do nothing. His salary this year for instance is a whopping $7.2 million.

It does drop ludicrously to 575k for 2015-16. Maybe someone will pay him that to take on salary cap.

Interesting difference. I didn't realize Thomas was not actually being paid.

There's little reason for the Flyers to do anything anyway. So long as he's on LTIR, he's not counting towards their cap. I mean, he technically does, but they can exceed it to the tune of his cap it.

I don't see Thomas playing in the NHL again for some reason. Feel like he probably feels he's done what he can and it's best retiring early rather than be someone who ends up like Roloson and just becomes terrible. Mind you, If he did come back then the Islanders pool is looking old. Nabby is 35 I believe, Thomas around that. How old is Rick Di?

31 or 32, but his body is that of a 70 year old woman.

They say our broadcast crew are homers, but man, the Blues just showed a replay of Tarasenko being tripped with a an on-screen graphic saying "Cheap Shot".

It was just a trip. You see it hundreds of times every year.

Former Pittsburgh Hornet J.T. Miller scored his first two NHL goals tonight. Congrats to him.

Andy McDonald may have finally lost his legs. Looked like Mark Recchi in his latter, chubby days in trying to catch Filpulla.

How huge would it be if we had a prospect like Miller who could come in and produce right away on an ELC contract? I dont know if its bad drafting, or if our forward prospects just aint given a fair shot. But when was the last time we drafted a forward who contributed on his ELC?

Nothing beats Jim Jackson and those buffoons for the Flyers. They spend more time harping over officiating than they do calling the game.

Every single home announcer is going to be a homer. I've always asked the question, if I'm watching a Pens game, why would I want my announcer to be on the balls of an opposing player? Local announcers are going to pander to the local crowd.

why is it that when your team looses it's a "skills competition" but when your team wins it's a "shootout"?

maybe we do in Bennet. I don't know a lot about Miller but isn't he a safe guy without a huge offensive ceiling.
