...This team's future is written in stone and I think the players all know it. If they are still out of the hunt in 2 weeks we are going to see some of the worst hockey ever played at this level. ...
I don't know, it would take some doing to out-tank the post-Boucher-SO-streak/pre-lockout 2004 team right after the arena opened - what I call the 'Springfield Coyote' era... I looked it up, that team started 18-15-13 and closed 4-21-5. *That* was some bad hockey.
I know if I became one of the 1 percenters, I'd change, oh boy how I would change... anyone thinks I couldn't be more unpleasant... just give me $500 million dollars boys, and then get out of my way lol.
I hope Woods is not involved. After he declared the Fiesta Bowl free and clear they got busted by the Feds for all their issues. So on a local credibility level, its hard to take him serious. That is why we never heard from him after he sided with Matty. But if he did get a deal together, I would wash his car.
The silence so far is deafening. Coyotes aren't on the agenda for Tuesday.
They'll be here until the end of the season. If you hear the words; hope, working with, trying, expect, etc., they all mean the same thing. No owner. When there is a press conference and Bettman introduces a new owner, then we'll have an owner. Every thing else is them blowing smoke.

It sucks but the soothsayers here and on BOH had many things wrong about the plot of this play but in they did know how it ends. The final act is to keep quiet as long as possible and if anyone calls them out they just release a statement or tell someone they know will blab that there's another buyer asking around.
As I said before, I hate knowing I was played. I think we should start a death date contest. I think the official announcement comes 4/15. That gives them a chance to sell the last games as a special event.
To be fair wasn't it all quite on the ownership front at this time for the past two or three years? Hulsizer didn't surface until March, Greg Jamison surfaced in April...

We at least had someone to cheer for. Now? Absolutely nothing. No one trotted out in front of the cameras. No real comments from the city council. Zero word from the league. That all usually doesn't end well.

You would think that would be on the agenda. If the NHL is pulling out, they need an arena manager ASAP. No Yotes, no shows, no events, no Westgate, no taxes coming in, bonds coming due.
This isn't like bill collectors, they won't go away if you ignore them.
Only way I can see this not being dealt with is if, like someone else has said, NHL promised not to take that COG money sitting in escrow from last season. But if that's the case, why not drop the price $20 million. So many unknowns. We don't even know what we don't know!
Woods confirms involvement in group's bid to buy Coyotes
Quote:
PHOENIX -- Former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods is confirming that he is working "behind the scenes" with a group that wants to take over ownership of the Phoenix Coyotes.
Appearing on KTAR's "Arizona's Morning News Weekend" Show, Woods could not definitely confirm the identity of the group. But he did hint that Ice Edge Holdings, which has tried to buy the team in the past, is who he is working with now.
Quote:
Woods said there should be more information about the potential purchase of the team in about two weeks.
Woods, who acted for the Ice Edge group in their earlier attempt to establish a new lease agreement with the City of Glendale and purchase the team from the NHL, said during the intermission interview he believes Hulsizer's agreement specifically addresses Goldwater's concerns about the lease agreement.
The State Bar of Arizona said Tuesday it has opened an investigation into Gary Husk and Grant Woods, the former Arizona attorney general, for their work at the Fiesta Bowl.
Am I the only one who would almost prefer not to be owned by a bunch of clowns with no real money tied up into this thing? Doesn't it just seem like prolonged agony?
Since he had been seen at Coyotes games this year it was logical to assume he was with Jamison's deal. It is possible that he worked behind Jamison's back to create a separate deal. It think all the previously jilted lovers are back in the picture.
If the NHL really was gong to put fouth an effort into fooling others once again, how about at least not name anyone assoicated with ownership interest in that past and throw out a name of a real multi-billionare from some other part of the world in the process?
