Thre is many, many sound goalkeepers in the AHL or Europe that can be obtained for cheap.

If Habs draft one, hopefully it's gonna be a mid-round draft pick.

Price is around for another 10 years.

Man I wish we were Columbus and have 3 first round picks next draft and get a goalie but since we have Price secured for the next 6 years and hopefully beyond that, we should just keep signing the best back up goalie available a 1 or two year contract can afford.

We can always use one of our 2nd round picks to get either Comrie, Desrosiers or Martin

We have been doing that for the last decade. It hasnt worked so well, has it?

Needs outweigh BPA in a strategy to build a winning team.

We drafted Price as a BPA after Theodore won his trophies, no? I'd say that worked out well.

Bergevin is aware of the need to improve our wingers. That's why Kaberle is referred to as a "depth" DMan (will be bought out) and that's why Bergevin did not give in to the demands of Subban to get the big bucks next year.

Gomez and Kaberle money is going to be spent in the offseason improving our situation at forward and hopefully on the backend as well.

You consider well as having a great player on the team.

I consider well as winning a Stanley Cup.

We don't need to waste a pick on a keeper for five years. We need a pro backup like Pitt had in Brent Johnson and Hedberg. A guy that can play one in 10 or 10 in a row. If we believe Price is an elite keeper, he can't be replaced if injured. Season is toast. It's a given. We just need a guy that knows how to fill in the gaps.

I am a big fan of this kid. He does not get enough starts due to LB getting a lot, but Jarry is rock solid and should be a great pick in June.

It's not a "waste" to have talent in the system. You don't bet everything on one player, no matter how good they are.

We definitely shouldn't be looking for a goalie in the first round, but starting in the late 2nd, it should be an option.
