- The reason why Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus, Ryback and John Cena at WWE Elimination Chamber won't be happening inside the Chamber is because it would be an elimination match and WWE doesn't want to have to eliminate five of their hottest Superstars right now.
Makes complete sense and that's why I'm against a chamber match for it. While the match would be brutal, five guys do the job, and obviously the last man standing would be Cena. WWE can easily have Sheamus do the job and have The Shield go over, have Cena and Ryback taken out and Sheamus fall to the numbers. It's a believable finish, the Rumble winner doesn't get pinned, and The Shield continues rolling on with tons of momentum. It makes sense.
The Wrestling Observer has released statistics about RAW's expansion to three hours last summer. The extra hour has resulted in 33% more matches per show and matches going 33% longer. The amount of in-ring wrestling doubled to 78%.
Wrestlers who have benefited from the longer TV time include John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Primo and Epico.
Wrestlers who had less TV time are Zack Ryder, Tensai, David Otunga, The Great Khali and Santino Marella.
Assuming those statistics are true, I like it. All the guys that deserved less TV time got less TV time.
Great promo. He doesn't need to be wasting this character and material in NXT he needs to be on the main roster ASAP. Just fear that when his time comes, he'll just get the textbook debut where he just shows up, wins, keps squashing, then the office looses interest in him and then he is stuck on Superstars.
Just needs to slow his delivery down a tad and pace it (he has done this is some of his other pre-tapes which is good), but that was great.
They don't have to utilize the pods but I'd still like to see them have most of the matches inside the chamber at least. But who knows, maybe Heyman and/or Maddox get involved here and have the chamber lowered around the ring while one of the three Cena's is knocked out somewhere outside the ring. A straight forward 6 man tag match would be kinda lame. At least at (I think it was..) TLC it was 3 on 3 chaos.
* The Miz & Ryback b. CM Punk & Antonio Cesaro. Ryback got the win, pinning Cesaro. During the match, The Miz botched a stalling suplex on Punk and dropped him almost straight on his head. Punk rolled out of the ring and was being checked by officials for a few minutes. He was slow getting back to his corner and even went to the wrong corner at first. He was visibly shaken up and was much slower than normal in the ring. After the match, you could tell it had an impact on him.
