Or is 30 points the minimum the org expects out of him?
It was "OR" as the conjunction. He can be a 5-15-20 guy if he is also top pairing on matchups. It is the conjunction of lesser matchups and lack of points that hurts his worth.

Drew Remenda questions the amount of $$ players get in their second NHL contracts. http://fans.sharks.nhl.com/community...much-too-soon/

Yes, they're wonderful players and deserved a raise. But the raise used to be to the $2.5-3 million range. Now you don't even get out of the gate unless the starting point is at the $5-6 million level. I'm sure Dean is in the $6 million range with Doughty. Good luck with that.

Looking ahead, it makes me wonder how much Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson will have to allocate next summer for Logan Couture's second contract.

Hopefully Couture will see that the Sharks need to save money and sign for $4-5M

People's opinions of Murray should have soured over the years (except Wedge, who'd still probably love Murray and hate Vlasic).

Even without hindsight, I still don't get why people thought Vlasic should be traded before than Murray. Disregarding all skill-sets, age alone should have been the reason otherwise.
