Damn right he's going to be.

Price looks like he's developing into a generational goalie... Name me 1 goalie in the NHL you would trade him straight up for?

By the time the Olympics start it's going to be blatantly obvious that Price is the #1

In my opinion, no doubt. I don't see any goalie's that are better than him. Fleury is not even in my top 10 in the NHL, Luongo is no longer the Luongo of 2010 and Brodeur will be what 42 when the tournament takes place?

Boring answer, but anything can happen in 1 year.

I think Brodeur is the starter still, unless he retires.

Luongo won last time. He will start unless his play really declines. Price will be backup.

For the first game at least.

I think Luongo will be the "starter" but after a bad game or two, I think Price will take over the starter.

As for brodeur no way he will get the start not after what happened last time, I doubt he gets a spot anyways.

I love Price and all, but saying things like this is kind of embarrassing.

I think Luongo is likely to be favoured because of previous success. Price has yet to show an ability to win under pressure, by which I mean, win a playoff series in which the outcome was not already expected. I think this will likely happen this year, however.

I hope so. Canada isn't fielding much otherwise

Luongo = Old but could be a nice backup

Brodeur= Old

Ward= Suffering terrible season (except against Ottawa )

Fleury= Decent but lackluster as of recent.

Crawford= Not good enough.

Bottom line all we have is Price.

Yes.

And I think its only a matter of time before Price establishes himself as the best goalie in the league. As it is I wouldn't deal him straight up for any other netminder.

You think Jonathan Bernier might be on the radar by then if he can get traded to a starting position soon?

1 for 1, Price is definitely untradable for current netminders. Not sure it's even close.

I wouldn't trade Price for any goalie in the league either, I think he's at least as good as the other elites in the league and is probably the most complete goalie in the league when you factor in his size and puck handling.

However, fair or not, few people besides Habs fans are going to say he's the best in the league right now. He doesn't play for as good of a team as some of his competition, but the fact is until his team starts winning regularly, Price will have his doubters. Guys like Luongo and Ward are more "established" than Price, even if he's better.

And I really don't want to hear the term generational talent again. Patrick Roy was a generational talent, let's be fair, even the biggest Price fanboy on the planet couldn't equate him with Roy right now.

There is no doubt in my mind that he will be. You look at the top contenders for the job(Ward,Fleury,Luongo,etc) and Price has played the best so far this season out of any of them
