Just too early to call them or really anyone the "best". Might I remind some people that midway though last season, the Hawks were #1 in the standings also... but injuries and bad powerplay left them falling to 6th. It's just too early, especially in a season like this where we've just gotten out of a lockout. Guys are still getting into shape, and we aren't seeing some of the other more talented teams play their best. Still a long ways to go, a lot of great teams in the west.

Hence the thread title "No one is playing better than the Blackhawks right now"

No doubt it would be good to have them, but not likely to see a team so deep like '10..Still everyone seems to have embraced their role...People here (me too) have been all over Kruger-Frolik, but they have been lights out PKers and are playing only on bottom 6 with great success.. Even Oduya has simplified his game and has played pretty well with Hammer, who has found his game again.

Is it safe to start placing bets on the first team to give the Hawks their first regulation loss?

Hey Hawks fans, if it's not to much trouble tell your boys they can take the weekend off.

Imagine what kind of power the hawks would have if Kane and Hossa were playing together

Kane and Toews***

Hossa and Kane have chemistry, but when Kane and Toews are on the ice together, they will have the pucks on their sticks and pass it around for 2 minutes.

Only reason they aren't together is to spread out the talent, but Kane and Toews should be together.

They aren't that great, I don't understand why nobody is beating them. Overrated.
