3 players under 5'8??

Bouillon is 5'8" and Gallagher 5'9".

My bad, right you are. But I'm sure you get the just of my point. It would be nice to trade in a small fry or two for some more size if we can come out even or better on the deal/deals

gionta will probably stay till his contract is up. We might even resign him. boullion is gone after ths season and dehairnais might get traded if the right deal comes along.

Cubes is a fire hydrant, check one and see what happens.

The only area I'm worried about size is on defense, we need another big stay at home, at least short term until Tinordi gets top 4 minutes(2014-2015?).

I like the Cubes game and BGally obviously isn't going anywhere anytime soon so I figure it'll be Gio or DD

size is important but mobility is even more important. I don't think short term we need a big defenseman. We lost because of stupid penalties from ryan white. Why waste resources to get onewhen we have tinordi who will most likely be stepping in next year. It is a shortened season I rather not make small moves when we don't need to.

What do you think it would take to get Ryan o'rielly?
Dehairnais and Beaulieu? Perhaps a second rounder mixed in there? Or is that overpayment?

Would you trade Plekanec for Corey Perry?

Perry would be great fit up front, Eller be given opportunity with Bourque and Gionta. Habs need to get a little bigger. Probably need to deal a White or Weber for Boyle type to play on back line. Could deal Perry's rights around draft time if we can't re-sign him. Get a late first or so.

If he would resign, I would do it in a heart beat. If he won't resign I wouldn't do it, no way would I give up plekanec for a rental, we could get a top 10 pick for plekanec if we played our cards right.

The fact that Perry is a UFA in 5 months makes it a huge NO.

Gio and pick will not land us Perry, not even close

Our best best is offering him a huge deal this summer but I doubt he will want to come here

Wouldn't be bad, I'd love to see Bergevin bring in O'Reilly

I hope we can somehow package Kaberle. Any positive return would be a bonus.

I definitely see it being a vetran player leaving, MB & Co seem to have a thing for the younger players

While the Habs currently have a surplus of D , i still see them getting rid of one or two (Kabs and Weber are the two most obvious candidates) and then acquire a shut down and stay at home physical type. Some may say we signed Cube for that but i'm thinking one notch higher. A guy who can slot as a #3 or #4 if needed.

Who i have no idea but i wouldn't be surprised to see MB make a move like this , especially if the Habs look to be playoffs bound.

Could we convince Colorado to take some form of this deal though?
