This team has taught me to expect the unexpected. Jets win 4-2. Ladd, Wheeler, Jokinen and Wright. Bogosian lays out Spezza in the press box. Noel will say there's a little bit more joy in joyland.

All the guys I have in my draft end up torching the Jets, St. Louis, Conacher, Pleakanc, Bozak and Michalek. Im hoping Milan is held pointless today or if he gets three points we better win 4-3. I love leading my draft but not at the expense of the Jets.

Wait... What?

Little is on pace for 57 points.

Kane is on pace for 65 points.

Ladd is on pace for 73 points.

Wheeler is on pace for 73 points.

...over an 82 game season.

The fact that they have done that with low on ice shooting percentages is encouraging to me.

3-2 Jets, after going down two, Noel laces 'em up in desperation and gets the hatty.

If we win Noel will undoubtedly crack out the "We're not about to separate our shoulders patting ourselves on the back"

Agree: the team is even MORE unbalanced regarding G/G vs GA/G this year vs. last. Last year, it was 12th in GF, 26th in GA, and they're currently sitting at 11th in GF, and 28th in GA.

So it may not seem like it, but they're scoring at a reasonable rate. Now, a lot of that is coming from the blueline, but the forwards that should be contributing, are. Bottom line is: GA is too high, due to a number of factors.

They're scoring at a rate where: if they hold the opposition to 2GA or less, they're more than likely going to win. They simply haven't been doing that often enough.

A lot of that was two games in Florida, one of which got thrown off the rails by a 5 minute major overlapping with two minors. They have to stay out of the penalty box. That is the prime directive. Whenever they do, they play the other teams very well.

Agree wholeheartedly - even the best PK gives up a goal every 8 chances. Given how well our PK is doing at the moment, staying out of the box is crucial.

I'm looking directly at you, Poni.

Haven't really seen it discussed, but can't we take anything away from the shots allowed versus Florida and Toronto. Really nice to see us tighten up in our own zone a bit. That was one glaring weakness in the first few weeks.

Okay. That's all I got.

This afternoon, the Jets will single-handedly abolish the Senate.

For each goal we score, a Senator will resign, Patrick Brazeau first, Mike Duffy second, Mac Harb third, Pamela Wallin fourth, etc.

The Jets win 105-0 and Evander Kane gets an Ovechtrick. Harper ends the Senate to save him the work of appointing more Senators.

For some reason I have a good feeling about this game. My guess, Jets win 3-2 in an afternoon thriller. Go Jets Go!

I hope you're fight because I couldn't feel worse about this game......at least they don't have Spezza to put up another lingering highlight reel move on our beloved team

Just thinking maybe they will take us too lightly and get caught looking past us although I just noticed they have two days off after this game?

ugh no kidding. our over paid goaltender is nearly dead last for nhl starters in save % and 48th in the NHL and people point fingers at our forwards??

im not expecting a great result today. my heart says a jets win but my brain says the senators put us on a very prolonged losing streak. ive almost entirely lost faith in this team. i remember watching the 1st period of the islanders game with my dad and the jets hard working and forechecking was impressing us so much. i still remember commenting that if we could keep up this hard work we'd not only make the playoffs but maybe even steal home ice for a round. that kind of optimism seems a distant memory
