6/10 games have gone to OT so far. Those games we lost in OT could be huge points at the end of the year. Hopefully we can get back into the win column today. We always seem to do bad against Detroit, especially on the road, but this is not the same team we have seen in years past, which is offering me a glimmer of hope.

6-4 Oilers. Nuge (x2), Eberle, Hemsky, Whitney, and Paajarvi with the goals.

Dont worry, I wont make that mistake again.
Didn't mean to bust your balls, just giving credit where credit is due. I appreciate the thread.

Given Krueger playing Fistric/Potter as a pair and scratching Whitney couple games ago, Fistric is probably not recovered enough to go in. I just hope he can come back soon and take Whitney's spot.

I'm almost at a point, not quite, but pretty close to hoping Whitney to have another gawd awful defensive game today. If he gets beaten by Datsyuk & Zetterberg 80 times today costing the team, maybe we will finally get rid of him. Sign someone, trade for someone, or bring Teubert or Fedun up from the farm please.

Let Whitney takes a few games off, get him to go work on his skating or have it checked out, then see if he can turn it around. Don't play him until he gets some mobility back. It's costing us pretty badly right now.

Saw a tweet that said "Kreuger is giving Fistric one more day (back)...."

So obviously he is not 100%.

This is awesome, a 20:00 game against Detroit, if only Lander played..

I like the lines too. If oilers cant have a good game, lets hope that Zetterberg show us some magic

What the flying ****?? Fistric should never be a healthy scratch. My god, I'm getting tired of harping on Krueger for this, but Fistric is miles ahead of Potter and Whitney.

And Khabi playing against the Wings instead of the Jackets?

Well in that case, I suppose it's okay. Just no more sitting Fistric in favor of Potter and Potterer.

They're probably paranoid with all the injuries, likely didn't want to play Fistric in a back to back. I would bet he's not 100%.

Maybe Fistric is not quite ready and another day of rest would be good. It may also be too much for Dubnyk to play back to back given that he had played all the games this season.

Wonder if this is what Krueger is thinking?

Strong opponent today, throw Whitney and Khabibulin out there. If we get beaten today, so be it, 3-2 is a loss and 8-2 is a loss. And then insert Fistric and Dubnyk tomorrow to go for 2 pts at Columbus.

Those lines look more logical.

These back to back games are ones we can win.

Fingers crossed, folks.

Game on Pacific CBC feed here in WPG

I had a bit of a panic, as I couldn't find the game on any channel or on Centre Ice, but I figured it out and am all set now. It's being televised here on the Vancouver CBC feed, which required me to sign up for the Timeshift West package online (luckily MTS makes it really simple to swap your channel packages once per day).

For the people asking about SK, I'm pretty sure they luck out and are considered in the broadcast area of the Jets AND the Oilers. As an Oiler fan in WPG, I have to get Center Ice for the Oiler games and TSN Jets for the Jets games. Kind of sucks.
