Agreed. It clears up an international spot too.

Man the MLS will need to allow way more cap space in the next CBA. It feels like every team out there is struggling to make the cap.

Mapp's contract has ended. When a player's contract ends the team can keep him by matching his previous contract, or if they dont match they have one week to negociate a new one which the impact did. Arnaud still have one year on his contract. Cannot be restructured.

There is also another possibility that we did not talk about and it's to consider Nesta as a DP, and the money applied from his contract on allocation money can be transferred to another player's contract.

Yeah but he would have a bigger cap hit that way.

I'm positive that not his full contract is on allocation money

I know this is completely off topic from the Game Day.. But I heard about 19 Year old Rafael Varane's performance against Barca last week and I just HAD, but man, what a performance.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI8avcbKEXo

Back On topic. 2 Hours left I'll predict a Hybrid in between a 4231 and a 433. I think he will most likely field the lineup that played most of last year just to see what they can do before making some changes
----------Perkins------------------
Valentin-Ferrari-Nesta-Iapichino/Brovsky--
---Camara-----Bernier--------
---------Felipe--------------
----Mapp--------Arnaud
--------Di Vaio---------

Pascal Milano already reported the starting 11 :

-------------Di Vaio
Nyassi - Bernier - Felipe - Arnaud
------------Camara
Iapichino - Ferrari - Nesta - Valentin
Perkins

Is there a 3 subs limit in this tournament?

I think he will just play Arnaud to avoid all controversy, and also see what he really is like in a game situation. I really wanted to put Nyassi. It was my mind telling me to put Arnaud though

EDIT: No, Unlimited Subs.

4141. I like it. Arsenal defend with that System, and go to a 433 when they have the ball. It works reallyy well, especially with a big strong CDM standing infront of the Back 4 (Arsenal used Viera and Song, most recently, at that spot)

Anyone know if the MLS' Workers (Simon Borg, Andrew Weiebe, etc, will be commentating? Or will it just be a stream)

Shalli said he'll probably make around 6 substitutions around half-time and the 60th minute. I know we won't see Romero but I hope we can see Pisanu and Blake.

I'd be surprised if he plays at all he hasn't been playing or training for quite a while.

XI vs @SportingKC Perkins, Valentin, Nesta, Ferrari, Iapichino; Arnaud, Bernier, Camara, Felipe, Nyassi, Di Vaio

As posted above, looks like the 4141

That's not exactly reassuring lol. Whatever tactics Arsenal uses to defend, all teams should do the opposite.

So pretty much the same as last year but Bernier plays a little higher.

Can't wait for the game, my focus will be on:

- Tactical play
- Nesta's fitness
- Pisanu's play (hopefully plays in the 2nd half)
- Camara as a DM

I'll also be focusing on our full backs. Will be intersting to see if Schallibaum wants them more offensive-orientated, or defensive orientated
