I have a 100/10 cable and i live in Finland, have been playing in 3 leagues, nowadays just in 1. Have played only vs. finnish guys in a GMconnected-mode and that's the reason i am looking in to this possibility of joining to this league.
HUT-matches mostly lag with the eastern european guys, allmost mandatorily, but my experiences tell me that matches vs. players from the N-America run mostly smoothly.
Do you have bad experiences then with cross-continent playing, so bad that we should leave this matter aside allready?
I would be absolutely delighted if i could be a GM of STL, but will settle for any team that is still available.

I have never been able to play a european player without extensive lag; however, I am based on the west coast of North America. I have heard that some people on the east coast are able to play europeans, whereas those in the west cannot. As this league is mostly based in the west, I would encourage you to look for a more eastern based league that might work out for you better than this one would. There should be plenty of them

We have actually almost got 2 games in but were disconnected with about 10 minutes left in game 2 with LA leading 2-1. Should be picking up again shortly
I am very disappointed at having to sim the majority of the Eastern series. FLA was up 2-0 but the two teams were unable to finish it up.
I probably waited too long to do this, so I apologize to the league for that. I have thought the playoffs should be extremely important, but they don't seem to be particularly important to even some of the teams involved in this league, as I have also noted in another league I'm in. So, perhaps moving forward we will put less importance on the playoffs and have shorter time limits. My concern, though, is that leaves the door open to people dodging guys in order to have a round simmed, and the sim results are always a joke, not to mention involve a higher rate of injuries. Anyway, if you care to share your thoughts on this topic please feel free to provide some feedback.
I would think the playoffs would be what people are most excited about. I know I'm disappointed my team missed out this season. If people are so afraid to play certain teams that they dodge them and settle for a sim, they should be removed.

that isn't the case here, I don't beleive, but is a possibility if you don't require people to play their playoff games
Not to throw blame around and it's just a coincidence I believe, but the majority of the inactivity came from the eastern teams this time, and the top teams at that... Every round it seemed like the west teams finished in 3 days or so and then were waiting around. Perhaps in the future if one conference has finished, there should be a max time they have to wait, example: LA and I finished the series 2 days after advance, the other conference should have a max of 48 hrs(or 72) to finish up. Not fair to those of us who took the time to get it done. If you don't have the time, that's fine but the league shouldn't wait on you, set ur CPU and we can all move on.
Edit: maybe just forcing all teams to enable CPU next year, so if they are inactive you (the commish) just have to give permission to play them
