AHH... he just said he was gonna drop it but decided not to at the last minute. Still a great play, really confused the late D man.

Briere has seemingly always struggled if the other team can pressure him. If he has a linemate or linemates who can create space, that's when he can do his thing. If those things aren't happening, he's going to struggle...that he's certainly declining doesn't help that situation. Failing linemates, a 4v4 or PP achieves the same thing.

Not quite; officially the Flyers are 9th; tied with the Canes, but the Canes have played less games.

maybe briere is no longer snakebitten. schenn and voracek on the verge of breaking out. some positives to take out of the game.

on the other hand, mental lapses continue

Glad to see Briere get one. He was getting chance after chance the last couple games. One was bound to go in eventually. Sooner or later he's going to catch fire.

Briere had a lot of bad bounces tonight. G is fine. Bad luck. Too much "he sucks" nonsense.

Schenn had 3 pts. That's 6 pts in 5 games.

Even though he scored points in the last few games he really didn't look good doing it but today this was by far his best game of the season.

Not a bad home stand for our club ! We have had a ton of chances to score more goals which is a good sign. Things are lookin better each game in my view. The Legs are starting to get under the lads which is why we are starting to see them not leaning on their sticks as much, which caused alot of problems with puck control earlier this season.

Ufff so glad we got the OT win... And didn't have to go to the yuckout (tm)

Btw. 3 weeks in and 25 percent of the regular season already done? That's a fast pace...

Yeah, I don't get it. Giroux is increasingly looking like his old self, Briere created some great opportunities. I didn't think they were nearly as terrible as claimed. Foster though...he was awful.

The 4th line showed shades of 2010 a couple times. Lots of bad luck in the game, otherwise I don't think it goes to OT.

Luke Schenn was a monster this game. Top 4 in in the league. I am starting to really like him.

Brayden Schenn also had a heckuva game.

Giroux needs to get it going. He had good chemistry with McGinn in prior games and I think Lavy screwed it up by putting Simmonds back up there. Or just G and Danny need to be on separate lines. It's tough though because Schenn and Voracek seem to have great chemistry as well. Maybe just get Danny off that top PP unit and keep him with G at ES. I don't know. I'm sure the lines will continue to shuffle all year long. This team is just more dangerous when Giroux is going.

L Schenn played another strong game. He seemed to be all over the Staals.

We got points in all games during the home stand. I couldn't ask for more.

You can really see Fwds slow up when they go in his corner too. He has been a beast, Kimmo is helping I'm sure of it. Perfect mentor.

Both Shenns are coming along nicely as we go along.........Both bring a really nice physical element to our club and this keeps the other teams a little off balance.....

Cool interview with Foppa. Interesting how he said he thought the Flyers will climb the standings and that they were a good team. Not sure if he was being polite or honest.

Either they slow up or try to hurry up and get rid of the puck. I seen him do that to Ryan Malone twice in the last meeting.
